Yeah how dare a citizen have a voice in what happens in their country. That is so offensive, they should just shut the hell up and let these multinational corporations dictate the laws and regulations governments put in place.

You really have no argument do you. BTW if our belly is full why do we need GMOs? I thought people were starving the world over so we had to have GMOs to fix that.

Oh wait, its not about that is it.

Are you deaf dumb and blind? You can already buy your non gmo food. buy local OR organic - JUST STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MCCONNALDS. Buy from the people who want to tell you. WHY are you complaining?

Again, I repeat I am tired of people complaining with their mouth full. There is going to come a day when you will gladly take any food put in front of you and you will be thankful. It has happened in history and will happen again. The only reason you have a full stomach is GMO.

hmmm mr smarty pants, McDonalds (thats how its spelled, not “MCCONNALDS”) decided NOT to go with GMO.

You really don’t have a clue do you.

Perhaps you should check your talking points again and make sure you have the latest updates.

Is GMO is so good, why wouldn't the "manufacturer" proudly label and advertize these products as such?

I'll post this again for your general knowledge and edification.

The FDA only requires labeling if a food raises legitimate questions related to nutrition or safe use. People who understand the science involved know that there are no legitimate questions regarding the nutritional content and safety of GMO food.

Labeling mandates based solely on an alleged consumers’ "right to know," rather than on a product’s measurable characteristics, is in violation of the Constitution.

You are not allowed to demonize a product, or to create fear about a product, unless you can prove that there is a problem with the nutrition or safety of that product.

Instead of demanding that government force industry to label their products even more than they already do, perhaps you should simply buy organic food products. The organic industry will appreciate you paying more for products that deliver absolutely no additional benefits.

Or, you could simply admit that you're just another big government conservative who wants the government to exert more control over industry to protect you from the things you don't understand.

If they are the same why can they be patented?

If YOU don’t like it DON’T EAT IT. It is a personal preference. Repeat it is personal preference.

You argue that some one can not prove it safe, well you can’t prove it is dangerous either. So now what?

Personally I like cheap abundant food with a lot of choices rather that perfect food and limited food.

You have this opinion but you know NOTHING about agriculture and the food except what you have been told.

And I repeat, you already have choices now so what are you complaining about.

McDonalds (thats how its spelled, not “MCCONNALDS”) decided NOT to go with GMO.

Every single thing McDonald's (you spelled it incorrectly as well) sells is from a source that has been genetically modified. Every. Single. One.

Every single agricultural product you eat has been genetically modified. And you're still alive and healthy? Go figure.

Technology.

There's a lot more value in a process where you know exactly what you're going to get, because you're selecting one gene for modification (and the benefits from that modification are many) than there is from a method where you really don't know what you're going to get.

I see a lot more value in the former method, but that's only because I understand the process. Your mileage will vary if you don't.

It is a wonder watching some on this forum argue up and down these threads against bigger government, but instantly demand that government save them from themselves when it comes to food. Like they don't have any choices or enough information already.

The solution is easy: Buy organic if GMO food makes you afraid. Nope, they want government to exert more control over the private sector and force them to do things that will have absolutely no impact on their health or safety. Sounds a lot like big government liberalism to me.

Oh I understand the process very well. I also understand the arrogance of people like you who seek to tell other people what to eat.

Funny how supposed conservatives turn into control freaks when it comes to their paychecks.

After all the threads you've posted on regarding GMO, you've proven beyond any doubt that you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about when it comes to this subject.

It's funny how supposed conservatives demand the government protect them from something they've been eating all their lives without any ill effects. Maybe that's why the most Marxist government since FDR refuses to listen to your cries for protection. Even the statists are laughing at your nonsense. You must be so proud.

Let us know if you ever find any facts to support your phobia. Government and the courts aren’t going to save you this time. You’re on your own.

He's not telling you to eat anything. If GMOs scare you, eat organic. No new regs needed.

Lamb-Weston? I work downwind from their plant near Hermiston. In the evening, the whole area smells like french fries.
