(Mar 18, 2010) Up until this point, most of the attention regarding the failure to disclose the connection between Jonathan Gruber and the White House has fallen on Gruber himself. Far more troubling, however, is the lack of disclosure on the part of the White House, the Senate, the DNC and other Democratic leaders who distributed Gruber's work and cited it as independent validation of their proposals, orchestrating the appearance of broad consensus when in fact it was all part of the same effort.
[] Now that we know that Gruber's work was not that of an independent analyst but rather work performed as a contractor to the White House and paid for by taxpayers, and economists like Larry Mishel are raising serious questions about its validity, it should be made publicly available so others can judge its merits.

Dang, this Gruber guy gave the GOP a gift. I hope they take advantage of it.
The fact that a left leaning source would publish a piece so critical of the process if not the bill itself speaks volumes. Nobody likes to be fooled regardless of political leanings.
Wow. Even the Huffinton is piling on. This is great!
Too bad this news didn’t come out a month ago. The Republicans would have won Virginia and New Hampshire too!
I wouldn’t be surprised if Gruber drops out of the gene pool sometime over the next few months.
No, this is an article from 2010.
It’s pretty darn bad for Obama when the Huffington Post is complaining about White House lies.
I wish we’d been given this gift a month ago. We’d have picked up the VA and NH Senate seats, maybe 2-3 more House seats and increased our margins across the board.
AND we’d have a clear, unbiguous and undeniable mandate to undo Obamacare.
Obamacare should be repealed based on this revelation alone as it was sold on false pretenses... to those who actually fell for the thing.
the lack of disclosure on the part of the White House, the Senate, the DNC and other Democratic leaders who distributed Gruber's work -AND- the liberal aka Palace media who distributed all those parties' propaganda
Gruber says the American people are stupid and had to be lied to in order for Obamacare to be passed.
If I remember corectly that 60% of the American people didn’t want Obamacare, the other 40% didn’t care and just wanted free stuff. It was the Senate Democrats that voted for Obamacare! Remember, the idiot Pelosi that said they must pass it so that they would know what was in it. I guess Gruber was right. Dems were the stupid ones!
Huffpo published this in 2010, and they did an update in 2011. Did they follow up after that or did the WH shut them up?
It is interesting that this is still available on their website. Soon to be scrubbed?
After the BLM disappeared pages regarding Bundy I now catalog pages with screen shots and downloads. I recommend everyone do the same with pages of interest to them.
Good advice!
The WayBack sometimes can be helpful for things that have gone missing already.
Romneycare was held up as a success. It became the exemplar model. But in fact it is a failure.
Gruber himself says the "dirty secret" is that a large portion of the cost of Romneycare was paid by the Feds. Here is Gruber and the "dirty secret": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtnEmPXEpr0#t=720
The federal government subsidized Massachusetts, who is going to subsidize the federal government?
A 2011 study by the Beacon Hill Institute titled "Massachusetts Health Care Reform stunts job growth and investment" found:
Romenycare and Obamacare, both from the mastermind central planner Gruber, are both frauds and failures from top to bottom.
Gruber the Goober is a TWOFER.....May get rid of Obamacare AND Romney since he was also the architect for Romneycare!!
Wow. Good article.
++++
I agree.
Given that this article is coming from the Huffing&Puffington Post I think it deserves a Double WOW.
Among those who “fell for the thing” is the SCOTUS, or at least John Roberts. Although in Roberts’ case, I suspect he may have been seduced by threats more than convinced by its value.
