1. The rankings don’t really matter right now
2. Their #5 ranking may as well be #25....currently they’re on the outside looking in
3. ‘Bama is square in the middle of the pack, with the 1 loss teams. Three ranked higher, three below.
Luckily there’s a game to play Saturday. Who knows...if ‘Bama beats the #1 team in the nation, they may go up a few slots :)
True. Alabama can clearly make their case this weekend. While everyone complains...Oh the SEC is so tough...that same hype gives them opportunities no one else has.
For example, there’s no one for Ohio State to play to make their strong case other than last week’s game.
If Bama beats Mississippi State and Auburn, I don’t see how they’re not in the Top Four.
Auburn is virtually out with two losses. Even if they beat Bama I don’t see any combination of wins - losses above them that gets them in with two losses.
FSU has Miami, BC, and Florida and the ACC championship game (assuming). Stranger things have happened, they have been playing a lot of games right down-to-the-wire, but we’ll see.
ASU can win out which would mean, I believe, beating OU in the Pac 12 Championship Game. How could they be left out if that’s the case?
Regardless, interesting four weeks of NCAAF still left before bowl season....
