I re-posted this because the previous post had problems [not allowing people to respond ]
I downloaded the 10 Preview on a old laptop. Was great to see the start menu back. Can’t wait for next year when it’s released.
I’m still just starting on 7. won’t be going to 10 for a very long time.
Windows 10?
Wither Windows 9?
Well, ya see, Windows 7 8 9...
Windows 8, just a transition OS?
No. Windows 8 is to computers what Dems are to the 2014 election.
I’ve been running the Windows 10 Technical Preview for a couple of weeks. (Desktop mode only) It’s very much like 8.1u1, with additional enhancements for those who freaked-out about the lack of the Start button and the Modern UI.
I’ve had no problems and would not hesitate to upgrade from older, less-secure versions of Windows, ESPECIALLY XP and Vista. If you like 7 or 8, you should be just fine until support ends for them.
Classic shell causes big problems from time to time.
Why would I want to get Windows 10 When I already have iOS 8.2
“Windows 10?

I wonder if they skipped 9 specifically to facilitate that joke.
“Why would I want to get Windows 10 When I already have iOS 8.2”
Good point. I wonder if 10 would sufficiently catch up to IOS 8.
I just know that 8 has been disastrous. I know of small businesses trying to work with it and others said screw it and went apple. If I was starting a business not sure I would even consider Microsoft and this you would not have been reading 5 years ago.
“even though adoption of this particular operating system (Windows 8)wasn’t really meeting expectations.”
Hahah that’s an understatement if there ever was one.
Windows 8 is an unmitigated disaster on every level.
next year ? what month? windows 10 , what happened to windows 9?
Windows 9 was skipped to prevent legacy application confusion. For example, poor coding could’ve been used where they specify “Windows 9*” to include by 95 & 98, and that would also catch Windows 9.
I guess we're all suckers, eh?
I’ve actually seen several YouTube videos demonstrating Windows 10 Technical Preview. The highly Desktop user interface centric orientation of Windows 10 is why I expect Windows 10 to be a huge hit among corporate and government users.
