Since she burst on the national scene in 2008, the national media has enjoyed poking fun and mischaracterizing former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her family. The main reason for their obsession is that Palin is an unabashed conservative who is articulate and popular with millions of Americans.

It is literally a decade of free publicity. We should USE IT!

No body wants a crusty half dead creepy ass boring cracker. Unless we want a nap don't push another Awfull Dull/Bob Dole, Juan McLame or Albinobamaromney on US!

Ya wanna fire up the base? Ya want all day every day name recognition repetition on every channel? Pick Palin!

They cant help but be reduced to flying spittle mad dog barking lunatics if they have to face her every day! It would be worth it just to watch them melt down daily.

For liberalism, abortion is the foundational glue that holds the politics together and gives it its power.

If somehow abortion lost its hold on the American female psyche, then liberalism would be dead. So, for liberals, someone like Sarah Palin becomes an existential threat.

The most effective way to fight abortion is not from a moral standpoint-whether it’s murder or not, or whether it’s first or third trimester- but to make it unnecessary. This is what Sarah Palin does.

She succeeded while raising children. She had the Down’s syndrome baby. Therefore she makes abortion unnecessary.

Also, it is a bit taxing psychologically for one to hold the view that it’s ok to kill a fetus, and still attempt to hold the moral high ground. It deranges them a bit. So here comes Sarah. Her very existence drives them crazy.

“If somehow abortion lost its hold on the American female psyche, then liberalism would be dead.”

The ‘thousand-wedge’ strategy is already taking a toll on pro-deathers. Many pro-deathers are on record supporting ‘partial birth’ abortion for example.

Wowsers.

An unabashed, articulate conservative.

The last time we ran one of those we ONLY won 49 of the fifty-seven states!

"Pro-deathers"

What an ugly and accurate description.

Saying one is "pro-choice" is misdirection with semantics for what is the "choice"?

Death. It is murder for convenience.

Yeah, and then there’s President Ebola’s proposal to murder ‘abortion survivors’ [via homicidal neglect]. No anesthesia either.

But sorry to digress. God bless the Palins!

They won’t let up because they want to scare the daylights out of any other woman (or minority) who would want to run for a major office on the GOP ticket.

I think that is part of what is going on.

Absolutely right.
