CDC Director Frieden Once Called Tobacco Execs “Mass Murderers”

"Says Frieden, who’s been fiercely vilified by the tobacco industry for his bluntly aggressive attack on cigarettes: “I was once quoted, accurately, as saying that during the years I spent fighting TB, my enemy was a micro-bacterial—tuberculosis—but now it’s an even lower form of life: tobacco executives! An executive from Phillip Morris actually wrote to me and complained, basically, that this was a form of hate speech, and I had to agree. So I no longer use that expression. Now I just stick to the facts and describe tobacco company executives as mass murderers.”

They are no more mass murderers than gun manufacturers are mass murderers.

It’s not too comforting that this idiot is responsible for decisions involving our health and safety.

Speaking of Ebama.....ever wonder how we all used to call Osama Bin Laden Osama Bin Laden? How come after wonder BOY was elected, everybody in government started calling Osama Usama - UBL?

That’s because somebody effed up and called Obama Osama and petty prick he is didn’t like it one bit. My guess is a secret government edict went out to every sympathizer and agency he controlled to stop that Osama sh!t right there.

He’s a vain petty narcissist and doesn’t like be appropriately labeled or joked about for his Urkel ears. Just a petulant little BOY.

I somewhat disagree.

The big companies lure youngsters to begin smoking at a young age and once hooked they are addicted. It is extremely tough to break a smoking habit due to the chemicals, namely nicotine, in the smoke. I know this first hand as it was very tough for me to stop.

In a weird way I tend to agree with the statement of the CDC Director even though I must admit his actions on the Ebola issue have been more than appauling.

The addiction is more psychological than physical. I smoked for 8 years and then one day put them down and never picked up another.
