Video shows the hatchet -wielding assailant, coming out behind a bus shelter (or something), wearing a hood (hoodie!) with the sidewalks wet with rain around 4pm. You see him swinging his hatchet, but the rest of the action is off-screen from this street camera. On a more recent broadcast, it was revealed he has a criminal record in California and was discharged from the Navy for misconduct.

Well, Obie’s been ginning up cop hatred, not a big surprise.
I went to a tea party Independence Day event in a theater and the sponsor, one of our conservative radio hosts, said his radio station was giving him the axe, so he showed up with an axe, which he brought because the theater had prohibition against guns.
But they did not have one against axes. He asked someone to show the proper way to hand over an axe. The recipient grabs the bottom of the handle, you grab higher up, and so on, until you reach the head.
I bet they don’t know that in New York City, hence no need to ban them.

That is horrible; hope and pray the cop hit in the back of the head will recover without serious impairment (CNN has him critical but stable). The bloody ax on the ground, hideous. At least they were armed, killed him and prevented further mayhem.

So far, who they have attacked are those who could have conceivably cut them down to pieces. As in the case of New York, those were uniformed and armed police.
Looks like we may be in for ‘random’ attacks for ‘the cause’.

Won’t be to long before ‘US’ taking out fools skulking around in pulled up hoodies in 90 degree weather may become sport.

Need a couple of ‘martyrs on our side’ to take out a couple while leaving the scene and it may discourage others from the ‘game’.
I have contended for a while that our downhill started when it was deemed YOU were a criminal for STOPPING someone from stealing your car or bike or any other form of transportation from your front yard or driveway because it was just a ‘thing’ and wasn’t worth a life.
Nice jester, but sometimes the loss of your vehicle puts you in the unemployment status so you should be able to protect your ‘money maker’.

Yes, we will pray for their recovery. I forgot to mention the hapless woman who got hit in the lower back by a stray bullet fired by one of the cops. Her condition was not known. May she be healed and not have suffered a spinal cord or grave injury.
It's far worse in the Middle East but these acts are meant for revenge and to demoralize us. I hope they burn through their hatred; only psychos would do the deeds we have seen in the last couple of days.
But already I think anybody in the coalition countries is fair game.

Forgive me for being a downer chick, but that stray bullet that hit that woman, and that the assailant that was gunned down could give ammunition ( sort of speak) to the anti-gun law nuts.
In Furgeson, the cop was attacked inside his car, and when the perp turned and ran towards him once on the street, he shot him dead. And now the hellions are crying out for revenge for that miscreant.
I give the police props for acting quickly and completely, even though lawsuits and public outcry are rampant.
And to you point, if they can make cowards out of the coalition government’s, like they did Spain previously, we could be standing alone.
We must prove, as Jesus Christ did, that love is stronger than hate.
