Democrat Rep: ‘You Don’t Have a Right to Know’ What’s Going on in Your Government
The Tea Party News Network ^ | July 25, 2014 | Greg Campbell

“You don’t have a right to know everything in a separation-of-powers government, my friend. That is the difference between a parliamentary government and a separation-of-powers government,” Democrat congresswoman, Eleanor Holmes Norton, claimed during a House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing.

It’s amazing that America possesses even one citizen who would believe such an obvious falsehood; it’s even more outrageous that America has a representative in Congress who believes this. Video at source.

U.S. voters elected the Democrats TWICE. Now we have ALL had to suffer because the GOP couldn't find anyone who could win an election.

Of course, Americans don't like the GOP because it doesn't suckle off the American money nipple. Doesn't say much for us, does it?

Well, her very presence in Congress is an unConstitutional fraud on the nation so her spouting more unConstitutional drivel is not to be unexpected.

Right. Her very presence in the Congress is an outrage. The fact that she spouts such nonsense is insult to injury.

At least she was bing truthful and exposing her true feelings which will probably result in her losing the next election. The Dms are giving us great fodder to use against them lately and they are doing it to themselves.

Saving for future use.

This will come in handy when President Cruz implements his agenda along with Senate Majority Leader Mike Lee and Speaker of the House Marsha Blackburn.

Oh, trust me. We KNOW what’s going on. Can we stop it? Not so sure we can...

Eleanor H. Norton is NOT a US Rep, or a “Congresswoman”. She is a Delegated. Delegates may debate and sit on committees, but not vote on final passage.

The first time I heard this it made me sick to my stomach.
Now at 6:40 am, I get to experience the nausea once again.

With the massive vote fraud going on - Democrats do not have the legitimate authority to govern.

“You don’t have a right to know everything in a separation-of-powers government, my friend.

How about a government "of the people, by the people, and for the people government?

We the people instituted this government to serve us not for us to serve it.

Denying us information would be like an employee denying the owner information about his company.

Eleanor Holmes Norton is the epitome of stupidity that is rampant in congress, today. Calling this woman a political hack is an insult to political hacks.

Like so many Democrats, she is eager to part of the ruling elite and treat her fellow citizens as serfs. That she is even a non-voting member of congress is an embarrassment to both congress and the District of Columbia she 'represents'.

Next time she steps into the Congressional chamber-—
the Sgt at Arms should take her into custody for observation at the nearest loony bin.

Really? Highly unlikely she will ever be defeated. Her district is so gerrymandered it probably looks like a slithering snake. We got those kinds of districts in Florida believe me.

I just started reading, “Gulliver’s Travels” and read a wiki entry about the book and found this.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gulliver’s_Travels

Cultural influences

‘From 1738 to 1746, Edward Cave published in occasional issues of The Gentleman’s Magazine semi-fictionalized accounts of contemporary debates in the two Houses of Parliament under the title of Debates in the Senate of Lilliput. The names of the speakers in the debates, other individuals mentioned, politicians and monarchs present and past, and most other countries and cities of Europe (”Degulia”) and America (”Columbia”) were thinly disguised under a variety of Swiftian pseudonyms. The disguised names, and the pretence that the accounts were really translations of speeches by Lilliputian politicians, were a reaction to an Act of Parliament forbidding the publication of accounts of its debates.’

Aside from this stupidity (where she apparently thinks “separation of powers” means separating power from the people and to the government) the left has already skewed the language in the regard.

E.g., I often hear in the news about whether or not the govt has the “right” to do something.

Actually, the govt doesn’t have ANY rights. Only the people do.

Govt has authority, granted by the people. Nothing more.

That authority can be taken away by the people.

The left doesn’t like that, so they always want to say things like “govt has the right...”

NEVER accept this phraseology and correct it whenever you hear it.

I think it is time that we monitor EVERY action and word of every politician (since they monitor practically everything we do and say) and have that information readily available to everyone on the Internet.
