If the Republicans win the Senate...

Until now, Barack Obama has always had a Democratic Senate to block proposals passed by the House. If that buffer disappears, he will have to sign or veto every bill that a Republican Congress sends him. The result may be political paralysis, accelerating the greying of the presidents hair and alarming allies worldwide. Or it may be that the two sides find common ground and pass some sensible measures.
Pessimists sigh that the parties are too polarised to agree on anything. Plenty of Republicans think Mr Obama is a menace whom patriots must thwart and resist. Many Democrats believe there is no point in trying to cut deals with Republicans. Instead, they want Mr Obama to spend his last two years in office ignoring Congress and using executive orders and federal regulations to pursue progressive goals, such as curbing greenhouse-gas emissions, shielding illegal migrants from deportation (and even closing the Guantánamo Bay prison for terrorist suspects, if press reports are true: see Lexington). Under this scenario, no significant laws will be passed until after the presidential election in 2016.

It would make for interesting politics if the GOP took the senate. But I can't help thinking the Republicans will blow it.

I believe because of past observations, the House will water down anything sent to this Republican Senate. The King Obama fear is to great for these yellow Republicans to overcome.

As if there is this pressing need for “significant” legislation. Always more more more laws for the peons to obey. Thus our chains are laid upon us, link by link.

With a Mitch McConnell in charge, about all I can realistically hope for is that if one of the Supremes kicks off or resigns, he will successfully block any Obama appointment until a grownup arrives in the WH. Even then, I give it a 50/50 chance, frankly.

I anticipate much more resistance to the dark side, forcing them to break more laws. From there we will see what we got. But I’m going republican to see if during these dark days a majority will stand and act that way.

The battle is one of the beltway against America more than it is the democrats against the republicans. A bright star might be Joni Ernst. If she wins and joins with Cruz in speaking truth the idea just might catch on.
There could also be a new force in the house if solid American Tea Party favorite Clint Didier defeats rino Dan Newhouse who is supported by Karl Rove money. The more people who are willing to stand up for what they believe and what most of America believes, the better chance we have of preserving the republic.

When the same old tired, scheming backstabbers recover the Senate, they will simply change the direction the money flows to go their friends, not the Democrat’s friends.
That’s all it’s about. Who gets the people’s money.
If you think these guys are going to repeal the theft mechanism known as income taxes, forget it. They’re just as addicted to stealing as the Rats.
The first fundamental change is to repeal the 16th amendment, and to wind down the Reserve Bank.
How that can be done with the debt where it is....I don’t know.
But it’s either that or we and our children remain slaves of the politicians and their patrons for the foreseeable future.

If the GOP "wins" the Senate it will be by a slim margin (1 or 2 seats).
The Dems can count on at least that many defections by RINOs they have always owned (remember Olympia Snowe?) to pass any bill they want and defeat any bill they don't want.
In essence, Dems still control the Senate but the GOP gets the blame.

Not gonna' happen !
DemocRATs are SEALING ELECTIONS BEFORE we vote !
Here's a
MUST WATCH VIDEO about STEALING ELECTIONS ! Make sure you tell ALL your acquaintances to watch it, and watch it RIGHT NOW !
HBO Hacking Democracy The Pima County Way, Card Reader and RTA Election. ( 16:30 )
By AUDITAZ Uploaded on Apr 24, 2011
In the RTA election of May 16, 2006 more than 100 optical scanners failed on Election Day at various precincts.
Election day I was out inspecting precincts and once I found that a large number of optical scanners were failing to work at the precincts.
I called Rep. Ted Downing, (Chair of State Party Election Integrity committee) also (at that time) the Chair of our county party "Donna Branch-G".
Both went to the election department to see what the problem was
and that is when they found the Microsoft -Access manual open right next to the central tabulator.
Donna and Ted took pictures of this.
Both were told that they had no oversight rights becausethis was a nonpartisan election
thus stopping us from actually finding outif MS-access was on the system
and if the central tabulator networked to other computers in the office.
By the time we got to check the computer several months later the program was gone.
However, we did find MS-Access on the Maricopa Election Department and that system count 58% of the vote state wide.
The Diebold-GEMS software is built on MS-Access program.
It is illegal by state law to have software that has not been approved and or certified by the SOS office such as MS- Access.
This is becauseMS Access easily backdoors the database
and one could change anything they want by passing the GEMS Audit log.
To make it worsethe normal backup which was always done EVERY election night and/or major event was not until the following Friday at 5:01pm.
Additional Facts:In the case of the RTA, the election department after processing 13,000 early ballots 6 days out, went in early the next morningand did a backup over that databasedestroying that file called "early ballots day 1"
and replaced it with a new day 1 backup, then illegally printed (5 days before the election) 2 election summary reports 10 minutes apart.
These reports by law are not supposed to be printed until one hour after the polls close.
Such a process took many computer moves that could never be a simple "slip of the finger".
Fact: Even though Brian Crane told the Judge Millerthis was a normal practice,
examination of the computer logs showed this had only been done one other time since 2000.
In actuality, Bryan Crane did backups at lunchand before he went home at night.

There is not much that I would agree with Harry Reid on.. Gridlock is not necessarily bad., as long as it results in spending cuts. Do you really think that Democrats would go so far as to shut down the government , rather than to approve a reduced budget?

If the Republicans take the Senate . . . Nothing will change.
Except, Zero will be able to move his agenda forward more easily as the the GOP fears being called racists more than they fear anything else.

Personally, I’ve reached the conclusion that Republicans would not do any of the things that are absolutely vital to the saving of the republic even if you gave them 100% of the seats.
