The teacher should be given a stern tut-tut and the “teen” incarcerated.

a fed-up Baltimore teacher attacked student and slammed her into a locker yelling 'I'll kill you'

Really?

Instead, the teacher OBVIOUSLY should have had sex with her. Everything would have been fine.

I’m not sure I can blame the teacher. She may be a bit hot-headed herself, but has better reason to be, and kids really do need to get it right back sometimes. The Spock stuff doesn’t work.

I don’t blame the teacher totally myself.

We take out prayer, the Bible, and the “Board of Education” if you get my meaning and we wonder why our schools suck?

I would never be a teacher in this mess and I wanted to be one growing up.

You are right about the firearms. I think it is better to have a few guards with the guns. These jackass students could too easily get their hands on them.

Of course, it is also better to have some serious German Shepherds patrolling. Certain groups that gather in cities have a natural fear anyway of them.

My mother is a short woman, and retired about 10 years ago. She worked mostly with “emotionally disturbed” youths. She was not afraid to use her muscle and they knew it. She tried to follow official rules (”hugging” or sitting on the perp) but she made it clear she would do what she damn well had to to keep control.

One of my early life lessons came when I witnessed a fellow 5th grader try to stab a teacher with a pencil. The perp was a large, cow-like female who was obviously several years behind her classmates and stupid as a rock. She was almost as tall as the teacher.

That “student” was never seen again.

What a disgusting pig to have those children do that. Is that his boyfriend at the back of the room?

I still remember when I was in the eighth grade seeing one of the nuns slamming a sixth-grader against the school wall just outside the main entrance.

In the 1970's, our eighth-grade sister did the same thing with a boy in our class for doing something far less than what this student did. In those days, though, at least in Catholic school, if a teacher (especially a sister) was administering corporal punishment, the student didn't dare hit or push back.

I'm not defending corporal punishment. But, this student was asking for it when she pushed a chair toward and threw a keyboard at the teacher.
