Amid what some are calling the most severe medical emergency in modern times, CDC director Thomas Frieden says it’s time we start thinking about Ebola.
Frieden recently claimed that the U.S. infrastructure is so advanced that Ebola has no chance of spreading, but is now concerned with the procedures and protocols that are in place.
The Dallas nurse is “clinically stable,” Frieden said, and the CDC is monitoring others involved in Duncan’s care in case they show symptoms of the virus.
“We have to rethink the way we address Ebola infection control. Even a single infection is unacceptable,” Frieden told reporters. “The care of Ebola is hard. We’re working to make it safer and easier.”
Frieden also apologized for remarks on Sunday, when the nurse’s infection was first disclosed, that suggested she was responsible for a breach in protocols that exposed her to the virus. Some healthcare experts said the comments failed to address deep gaps in training hospital staff to deal with Ebola. (Reuters)

I must have missed his “unexpectedly”. I saw Dr. LaPoop, one of the MSM rent-a-docs, back tracking from his original administration script that Ebola was extremely hard to catch (note: originally it was you could shake hands with an Ebola patient and not catch Ebola as long as you didn’t have a cut on your hand).
Dr. LaPoop said that he called the CDC Director and strongly suggested that the Ebola patients be treated in one of the CDC trained hospitals. They agreed that it may be “too hard” to find a way to get Ebola patients from one part of the US to another without transmitting the disease (note: they flew at least 3 from overseas to CDC hospitals without causing epidemics along the way).
Nurses are demanding self contained suits with respirators and rightfully so.

I ask myself the same question. We’re surrounded by authorities who keep looking for that one special person who will do all the work. Our politicians and executives are a bunch of pampered aristocrats who view doing their job as beneath them and our health professionals are a bunch of bunny rabbits who apparently can’t do their JOB, something they supposedly went to school for. The authorities want the citizenry to do their jobs for them and this country is in such a mess. People who are supposed to be getting their hands dirty are determined not to and I just wonder how long until the final collapse of this country occurs.
Frieden should go treat ebola patients to show us how safe it is to be around ebola.

Too late for that! People don’t seem to care if children are dieing, because Enterovirus D68 is killing children and it can easily be traced back to illegals that were allowed to enter this country by the present administration.

The purpose of the “Bring Out Your Dead” ping list (formerly the “Ebola” ping list) is very early warning of emerging pandemics, as such it has a high false positive rate.
So far the false positive rate is 100%.
At some point we may well have a high mortality pandemic, and likely as not the “Bring Out Your Dead” threads will miss the beginning entirely.
*sigh* Such is life, and death...
