Sudan? Could be the other hemorrhagic fever, Marburg virus disease. There is an outbreak of it in Uganda, which is a lot closer to the Sudan than are the counties involved in the Ebola outbreak.
I sometimes suspect that this outbreak is indeed Marburg.
