RE: So far, treatments using EBC-46 have been used successfully in clinical trials involving pet dogs, cats and horses.
Well good for you if you are a dog, cat or horse.
Maybe they can figure out the gene responsible for the chemical and implant it into an easier to handle crop—like tobacco or hemp. My preference would be hemp, because it would enhance the cancer-fighting characteristics of marijuana. / 1/2 S
Expect the Blushwood plant to become extinct very soon!
Interesting article. Thanks for posting this.
“Experts are even saying that they still don’t completely understand why the chemical is in the seed of the Blushwood berry in the first place.”
Maybe to protect the plant from the plant equivalent of cancer?
Still looking for the botanical name in the article... did I miss something?
Wow. Interesting find.
And this is the last we’ll ever hear of it if the FDA has anything to say about it.
Sounds like a miracle.... a very very expensive miracle.
"The chemical, which is being called EBC-46, takes three weeks to extract and the process is quite difficult."
"Farming Blushwood in large quantities will also be extremely difficult"
$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!
Tamoxifen cures breast cancer, and it is an extract of the Pacific Northwest Yew tree. Tamoxifen exists in both the bark and berries of the tree.
Might as well find another anti-cancer compound in another tree.
There also are agents being used in medicine on other diseases that are accidentally found to protect against cancer.
Metformin is a diabetes drug, been around for years. Clinics noticed that diabetics on Metformin got cancer at a lower rate than the general population. Now Metformin is prescribed sometimes as a cancer fighter. Today there are many agents that can be used against cancer, and they can be combined to enhance effect. Pharmacological approaches can be more effective that surgery and radiation.
bkm ... Thank You
