"I used to love the vampire genre before it mutated into a means for teenage girls to practice self-love. A true vampire story is an epic tale of good vs evil, usually requiring the good (humans) who are weaker, to exhibit extraordinary faith and courage."

Ever seen "Thirty Days of Night?" The most evil, brutal vampires ever, with lots of heroism from the humans. I cannot watch that movie alone at night.

I know. but Maggie loves him. And she’s lost so much.

Looks like AMC is doing a week-long marathon starting tomorrow night at seven.

Perhaps I would appreciate the vampire thing more
had it died with Bela Legosi or at least not morphed
into what it has become.

Daryl Dixon needs to go into Boondock Saints mode.

I kind of liked the first Boondock Saints but the second one seemed like a parody of the first.

Losing that feeb brings her one step closer to someone she deserves. And who deserves her.

Their relationship has never rung true anyway. Why would a whiny Oriental metrosexual appeal to her?

Rick should have offed him back in Atlanta.

Nah, Glenn’s a warrior. I never saw a metrosexual feeb who could kill a walker while strapped to a chair, and tear out an arm bone to use as a weapon.

I love his relationship with Maggie...true love, baby.

Excuse me if I puke.

With any luck, the rumors are right and we’ll be rid of him this season. If it’s the cannibals who get him, I’m betting he tastes like veal.

30 Days of Night is awesome - now THOSE are what vampires should be!

Cannot wait for S5 premiere Sunday - extra bonus being that daughter will be home from college for fall break and we both love this show.

Right? No sparkling fairy dust on those guys. They really scared me.

So you'll watch together...that will be fun. I just read that TWD has already been renewed for a sixth season, and the fifth hasn't yet begun!

Glad to hear it’s been renewed for a 6th season. Now let’s keep our fingers crossed S5 is worth watching!
(I am pretty confident it will be)

RE: 30 Days of Night Vamps:
Scary — YES! The sounds they made teriffied me. Danny Houston (as the leader) was fabulous. Also, in the behind the scenes, I learned that the fx department manipulated the vamp actors faces so that they were “off” in a weird, otherworldly way. Very effective.
