First of all they did express their irritation with being lied to and I didn't hear any of them become overtly rude to her. Just wasn't there. Secondly she acted in a very obsequious manner about the deception she was obviously perpetrating which would make no sense if she were actually just an overweight woman looking for a date.

There is no social experiment there other than the old Allen Funt Candid Camera trick of putting someone in a surreal situation.
