* Five students attended four different Dallas schools this week after possibly being in close contact with the Ebola patient over the weekend
* The Ebola patient was named today as Thomas Eric Duncan, who had traveled to the U.S. from Liberia on September 20 to visit family
* Mr Duncan, a Liberian national, quarantined at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital since Sunday in a 'serious but stable condition'
* The children who came in contact with Mr Duncan are showing no symptoms and are now being monitored at home The schools are on high alert with additional health and custodial staff as an added precaution
* Mr Duncan arrived in U.S. on September 20 - after flying from Liberia via Brussels in Belgium - but did not develop symptoms until September 24
* He attended Texas Health Presbyterian on September 26 - but was dismissed with antibiotics and 'not asked details about his travel history'
* Mr Duncan may have contracted Ebola while helping carrying his landlord's seriously ill daughter to hospital in Liberia. She died the next day
Schoolchildren in Texas may be at risk from Ebola today after five children who attend four different Dallas schools came in close contact with the first patient diagnosed with the deadly virus on U.S. soil.
Officials said on Wednesday that the students were in school this week after possibly being in contact with the patient over the weekend when he had become contagious with the deadly virus.
The Ebola patient was named today as Thomas Eric Duncan, a Liberian national in his mid-forties, who had traveled to the U.S. from Liberia on September 20 to visit his family....

The NY Times is reporting that HALF A DOZEN fatalities have already occurred around this guy Duncan.
ALREADY OCCURRED.
These deaths were overseas?
Where were the fatalities and when?
Thank goodness that 0bama’s CDC is run by peeps of the same caliber as that of the Secret Service.....
I’m searching but not finding.
When they say they are being monitored at home does that mean they are no longer going to school...I hope?
The ambulance was in use for another two whole days. What do you think?
Another ambulance picked up a woman and her daughter from the same area, and a team of body collectors came to retrieve the body of yet another woman all four appeared to have been infected in a chain reaction started by Marthalene Williams.

Again, why would an early forties foreigner from Liberia be interacting with 5 American kids? Seems strange he would make fast friends with complete strangers 2 days after arriving from Africa knowing he was possibly carrying the Ebola virus.
If they are all from the same family or even the same neighborhood, shouldn't they be going to the same school?
Does anyone know if the children of illegal aliens tend to go to the same schools or different ones for some reasons of subterfuge?
I hope they mean quarantined inside a bubble when they say monitored!
Ms. Williamss family said they had no choice but to take her back home after being turned away from John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital, first at its maternity ward and then at its Ebola center. While she was sick at home, she appeared to have also infected a neighbor, Sarah Smith, whose corpse was picked up Wednesday.

Maybe all from the same church or nationality group center?
here is one interesting link

The guy had been handling Ebola patients that had died. So he probably knew he would be getting it too. so he gets on a plane to get over here so he could get treatment and doesn’t tell anyone he could be contagioous. what an ass
This is pure freaking madness. If I lived in DFW area (I almost did last year) I would be back on a plane home to NJ.
Total madness. School kids, in public schools. This “no symptoms” stuff is total BS too. It takes up to 21 days to come on.
ARG! It is criminal delinquency that people from west Africa in general and Liberia specifically are even allowed to travel to America since the Ebola outbreak was discovered!
Why, why, WHHHHHHYYY would the fedgov not ban this travel as soon as Ebola was discovered. It is literally impossible that ANYONE from Libera or West Africa is needed for ANY critical reason in the USA, let alone even a valid one.
I hate our government so much, and in times like these I hate a lot of my fellow Americans, too.
YES: These deaths were overseas?
Apologies, it sounded very much like there was a cluster of deaths around this Duncan fellow while he was/is in Dallas.
THERE WERE. But they occurred in Liberia.
Do you think it would’ve been handled better if it occurred in New Brunswick or Trenton?
