Barack Obama was thought to possess that certain impalpable something that led him to be elected president despite a complete lack of qualifications, and won him the Nobel Peace Prize despite a similar lack of evident achievement.

It remains to be seen whether our impalpable President can morph into a war president.

I can't help but have this feeling that the connections between the Gulf kingdoms and their oil money and the Clintons and so many politicians is much more than
impalpable.

Obama’s latte salute was impalpably dishonorable.

Actually I like the word in the definition better, abstruse. I have been trying to remember that word for some time, and all I kept thinking of is obtuse, which is entirely different.

Obama was brought, kicking and screaming into this war, which he actually caused by leaving Iraq prematurely, thus allowing ISIS to flourish.

I recently finished an excellent book on the beginnings of the current turmoils in the Middle East. The book is "Lawrence in Arabia" (that's "in," not "of") and it is quite fascinating.
Highly recommended.

To anyone who spent even one day in basic training, Obama's salute was a complete and palpable insult.

"I recently finished an excellent book on the beginnings of the current turmoils in the Middle East." I'm just finishing up one about a character whose problem in life is that he is entirely too impalpable.
One might think it useful to be able to walk through walls, but it's a bit embarrassing to have your clothes fall off.
Just need to tweak the last few chapters and it's done.

Thank you for the recommendation. I just put it on hold here. Understanding the Middle East is impalpable for me. So many wars over so many years.

Obama’s leadership? Everything he does is for purely political reasons. He would bomb London if he thought it would help the dems keep the Senate.
