Targeting the Constitution

It is now well known that the IRS targeted tea party organizations. What is less well known, but perhaps even more scandalous, is that the IRS also targeted those who would educate their fellow citizens about the United States Constitution.

According to the inspector general’s report (pp. 30 & 38), this particular IRS targeting commenced on Jan. 25, 2012 — the beginning of the election year for President Obama’s second campaign. On that date: “the BOLO [‘be on the lookout’] criteria were again updated.” The revised criteria included “political action type organizations involved in … educating on the Constitution and Bill of Rights.”

Grass-roots organizations around the country, such as the Linchpins of Liberty (Tennessee), the Spirit of Freedom Institute (Wyoming), and the Constitutional Organization of Liberty (Pennsylvania), allege that they were singled out for special scrutiny at least in part for their work in constitutional education. There may have been many more.

This is infinitely worse than what Richard Nixon was even accused of doing. I truly fear for our country./rwa

Can’t have the plebes learning about The Constitution. They might actually start demanding that we, their rulers, follow it.

Just like 93 percent of the people who follow Islam cannot read; make it unreadable and then “tell” or “preach” what it really means....

This is no surprise. The overlords and the irSS can only succeed they re-educate the populace. Look for more stories on how evil the founders were, how we should be ashamed of our history, that liberty as conceived in the constitution means destruction of Mother Earth, enslavement of the third world, exploitation of indigenous peoples and the worst horror of all the subjugation of women to lives of being provided for and protected by their patriarchal husbands who insist on them bearing children and resistance to government womb to tomb totalitarian care.

Make no mistake. The Marxists are in power and will do anything to stay there. Laws such as the Constitution are nothing but an annoyance to them.

I don’t know that I buy this. Constitutional interpretation is not an easy thing and it is certainly anything but black and white. Now they may not have liked their Right leanings, but just based on “teaching the constitution” ... that is an almost impossible task. Just ask over 200 years of judicial interpretation. No one agrees 1—% n any method of interpretation.

Teaching the Constitution is relatively simple; learning the Constitution seems to present the problem.

The founders wrote the Constitution in clear, concise, and proper English grammar.

I can teach the Constitution in less than ten minutes by establishing a few facts with a person familiar with America's history.

The first and most important thing to acknowledge is that the Constitution is not about the people. The Constitution is solely about how the government is to function within the enumerated powers of legislation.

The second most important thing to acknowledge is that the Bill of Rights did not grant rights to the people. The Bill of Rights protects the people's rights from government interference.

The Declaration of Independence states the reason to institute a constitutional Government is to secure the people’s inalienable rights.

Now you know an adequate amount about the Constitution.
