Oh, I agree as far as Breitbart’s statement and your examples. And I don’t think starting a new think tank would have been effective for her.
But as an antidote to the particular smear that the Dems, GOPe, and MSM got over on her, I think taking some sort of position with a reputable think tank would have been effective, whereas reality TV for her and her family has just reinforced the worst of the smear. (I also think time expressing herself in that sort of environment would have been helpful.)
I was hoping she’d be the one that McCain picked—and was very pleasantly surprised when she was.
Running for Senate would have been another viable way to pass the time before running for president.
I’m not suggesting that she should have become a lobbyist-that would have done in her viability for sure.
I don’t think being a policy expert is dishonest work, unless it’s being done with bribes from a corrupt source—which of course I’m not suggesting either.
I agree with you on Palin not having had to leave office early—but you’re losing me with the Perry promotion. He’d kill this country with amnesty.

I’m far more worried about the GOP Congress passing amnesty than I am Rick Perry doing it. The President does not make legislation, he just signs it. Tammy Faye Boehnor is the one to watch out for backed up by Mitchie the Kid McConnell.
Here’s the thing. If Rick was such a RINO Democrat the left wing in Texas would not be trying to convict him of several bogus felony counts. Its because he was principled and took a stand that they are after him.
