Anyone who bitches about this needs to be arrested and taken out and shot. Da gubmint had nothing to do with this. The gubmint didn’t “endorse” jack ****! These were AMERICANS engaging in their rights guaranteed by the First Amendment.

Asia Canada is actually a good old southern Appalachian style name, believe it or not. Canada, Cannady, ultimately Kennedy but completely different from the more infamous bunch, obviously. Using states or countries for women’s names is another old custom. I’ve had great aunts named India, Georgia and Indiana.
Good on her, good on Oneida and east Tennessee. Even cheerleaders and fans from opposing teams are joining in.
Real America still exists in places. This sounds like one of them.
I think it might also be a violation of the first amendment to shoot people for bitching.

There are Irish Kennedys and there are Scottish kennedys. Totally different families. If it’s appalachia, it’s likely Scottish.

I’ve known Canadas and Cannadys, just enough to know that it’s a cognate of Kennedy. There are actual Irish who settled here (one great grandmother of mine was a Neal originally O’Neal for instance) but they’re far outnumbered by Scotch-Irish, so you’re likely correct. Canadas or Cannadys tend to be more Cherokee than most, too.
How about we pray that teachers quite sexually praying on our kids.

I read the comments on the site and they are far from "secular leftist" stuff. Every single poster supported the cheerleaders. Are you sure you read them?
I went back to double check, make sure I read them right. My statement “the comments.. are typical secular leftist stuff” isn’t correct. I should have said, out of 16 comments on that sight, *some* are typical leftist stuff.
So my original statement was over an over the top wrong blanket statement.
Kinda like your statement “Every single poster supported the cheerleaders,” which is also incorrect.
It seems our two blanket statements were wrong in completely opposing directions, or maybe they were orthogonal. Oh well... Cheers!
