Eric Worrall writes:
Professor Bob Carter, writing in todays edition of The Australian, a major Aussie daily newspaper, warns that the world is unprepared for imminent global cooling, because of the obsession of policy makers with global warming.
According to Bob Carter;
Heading for ice age
GRAHAM Lloyd has reported on the Bureau of Meteorologys capitulation to scientific criticism that it should publish an accounting of the corrections it makes to temperature records (Bureau warms to transparency over adjusted records, 12/9). Corrections which, furthermore, act to reinforce the bureaus dedication to a prognosis of future dangerous global warming, by turning cooling temperature trends into warming ones a practice also known to occur in the US, Britain and New Zealand.
Meanwhile, we have a report by Sue Neales that the size of our grain harvest remains in doubt following severe frosts in southern NSW killing large areas of early wheat crops and also damaging wheat and canola crops in South Australia and Victoria (Trifecta of calamities to deplete. crop harvest, 12/9)
Is it unreasonable to be surprised that none of your writers, much less the government, has noticed that leading solar astrophysicists, such as Habibullo Abdussamatov from Pulkovo Observatory in St Petersburg, have for years been commenting on the declining activity of the sun? These scientists are projecting a significant cooling over the next three decades, and perhaps even the occurrence of another little ice age.
Obsessed as they are with a gentle global warming trend that stopped late last century, should the expected solar cooling eventuate, policy makers will rue the day they failed to heed the advice of independent scientists on climate change issues.
Professor Abdussamatov, cited by Professor Carter in his letter, is head of the Space Research section of the Russian Academy of Science.
In 2006, Professor Abdussamatov issued a press release, warning that the world should prepare for imminent global cooling. Abdussamatov predicted that the global cooling would start in 2012 2015, and would likely peak around 2055.

This predicted global cooling, if it occurs, will mean that polar vortex winters and cold related crop failures, such as the recent frost catastrophe which destroyed a significant fraction of Australias wheat crop, in the state of New South Wales, will become a normal part of life, and will most likely become a lot worse.
WUWT readers might recall a shameful incident last year, in which Professor Carter was unceremoniously dumped from his academic post. In my opinion, the removal of Professor Carter was part of an ongoing purge of Australian academics who hold unfashionable views on climate change.

I think there is a much greater chance of Nuclear Winter than there is of global warming or [non-anthropogenic] cooling.
Would it help if we raised taxes and deindustrialized America?
That seems to solve most problems.
just part of the Bill Ayers agenda....
...to exterminate 25,000,000 citizens.
Only if we also gave up our liberty and impoverished ourselves. Same solution for every problem!
The world’s scientists are learning a bit of Political CYA in order to preserve their fat research grants and teaching funds.
If the world doesn’t get hot due to Mankind’s mistakes, it’ll get cool due to Mankind’s mistakes.
Apparently, the world is supposed to stay a perfect 72 degrees forever - or the taxpayers should cough up funds to figure out why it doesn’t.
Nice scam, if you can get in on it.
Historically speaking, we are overdue for an ice age.
Is the scientific community going through collective Menopause?
Hot/Cold Hot/Cold Hot/Cold...
Gimme a break and get back to me when you’re stable and not sweating one minute, throwing on a deep winter parka the next.
Make cars with V-8s mandatory and require all families to own at least one cow. It’s not too late to heat things up, right?
Well darn, I figured global warming was just a hoax like every thing else but was hoping it was going to burn this place to hell.
I've watched the temps and weather changes here in my area do just that over yrs. here now. Remarkably so.... Last night our temps were down to 39 degrees....never saw it drop this early so low....and we had barely a summer here...never put my air conditioner in...and only a couple of nights warm enough in the evening to call it a summers night. I've been watching about this cooling and have to admit evidence of this in my area supports it.
Obviously global cooling is the result of too many air conditioners running at once, therefore we need to have people purchase AC credits.
I can predict with absolute certainty that the world is getting warmer, or the world it getting colder, or it isn’t. But I know it is one of the three.
I can also predict with absolute certainty that no matter what happens, it will be Bush’s fault. Bush and those damned SUVs. Womyn and minorities will be hardest hit.
Looks like the global warming canard isn’t working to chase many of the unworthy back to the north, and the likely weather to come will work like a whip to chase more to the south. Meanwhile, the western drought will also continue to chase more westerners to the southeast.
The answer is to build the southeast upward to accommodate more density.
;-)
Good graph, thanks for posting.
I guess there was no life on earth 65 million years ago. Clearly it was way too hot for that.
Global cooling? I already have two SUVs, Do I need to get a third?
PEOPLE! The earth is going to get colder... or warmer... or not. BE READY.
