The last person who thought Rosie O’Donnell would ever return to “The View” was Rosie O’Donnell. In the spring of 2007, the talk show host opted not to renew her contract with the gabfest created by Barbara Walters, even though her controversial opinions gave the program a ratings boost. Then, shortly before her departure, she got caught in a spectacular fight on live TV with conservative co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck that started over the Iraq War, but quickly turned personal — and went viral.
“The day it happened, I was definitely crying,” O’Donnell recalls. “I got my stuff and walked out.” She phoned her longtime publicist, Cindi Berger, telling her: “‘I’m never going back. You have to call and tell them. Call the lawyer. No matter what they say, I will not go back.”

I will say that while I disdain her politics, Rosie reminds me of a woman I dated in college. She was bigger than most of your typical collegians, but she had a heart of gold and was one of my hardest breakups.
Why are so many focused on her looks rather than her ideologies? Truth is, she was a bit “cute” in “Exit to Eden.” Her hatred and anger soured the “cuteness” over the years.

I read the comments at the link. Of the hundred or so I read, there was one that supported rosie.
There was some commercial for Flonase or Zyrtec or something that featured a computer animated woman having allergy symptons where her head would inflate like a balloon... can’t find it online, but every time I would see it, to me, it resembled Rosie O’Donnell.
Hasselbeck was cute but not much of a conservative and not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree, either.
Unfortunately, her “conservative” replacement, the Palin-hating RINO Nicole Wallace, is even worse.
