Does have a little wang to it, though.

Pretty much agree with you there. I’ve never seen the last of the mohicans, but I bet its good. The Narnia movies by Disney also have good soundtracks.

Yes LOTR soundtrack is so beautiful. I have most of the songs (the nice ones, not the orc/mordor themes) on my mp3 player and listen to them when I walk or ride the bus to work.

To quote Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse “opinions differ”. I think LOTR soundtrack is the best.

1. It is structured like an opera with different themes, e.g The Hobbit Theme, Sarumam’s Theme, Sauron’s theme, the theme of the Elves and of Rohan.

2. The Chorals in different languages, e,g English, Old English, Sindarin, Queyna, Adûnaic, and Neo-Khuzdul.

Jaws. The Music was a character just as much as the shark or Quint.

Woody Allen’s Love and Death. The music was from Prokofiev’s Lieutenant Kijé (only Woody Allen movie worth watching)

Star Wars, LoTR and Gone with the Wind are great.

Fantasia had a great soundtrack, but, I don’t think that counts.

Anything by Elmer Bernstein

Kill Bill

***Jaws. The Music was a character just as much as the shark or Quint.***

If that is so then we must include the grating violins of PSYCHO!

Yes, it is fantastic.

I’ve even toyed with the idea of adapting it to a trailer/preview for a different movie I would make in my dreams!

Another surprisingly good track is “the Black Stallion”.

You have probably heard the prime theme pasted over a few shows.

LOTM is excellent. It is also clean. The only reason it should have gotten that R rating is for the heart-ripping part. Great theme music.

And maybe the best ever - Jerome Moross's score for The Big Country, and then there's Tiomkin's for The Old Man and the Sea - jeez, don't get me started.....

I have to agree.

Mohican music was fabulous. In fact, the first time I watched the movie I got so caught up in the music I forgot to watch the movie.

Much shorter but equally as powerful was “Requiem For A Heavyweight”

Anything by ELMER Bernstein.

Especially Animal House. It really was a huge part of the movie.
