The number of Americans filing new claims for unemployment benefits unexpectedly rose last week, but that probably does not signal a material shift in labor market conditions as claims remain near their pre-recession levels.

As predicted by just about everyone, jobless claims rose unexpectedly.
The cult of progressivism compels them to keep believing that marxist/socialism will one day work if only the right guy implements it...statistics and facts be damned! We are only 6 years into this marxist transformation...I’m sure it will start working soon.

The most laughable part is not the BOGUS adjustment for seasonal workers, as the raw numbers show close to 250,000 new claims. The biggest joke is the 6.1% unemployment rate. Given that the participation rate is lower than at anytime in history, we should be at ‘full employment’ any day now!
