fortunately the dog was not harmed.
Apparently the mere sight of the giant mutant spider dog is shown to cause fits of whining in the more sensitive sorts.

Maybe he’s doing this in New York. But I’d pull and fire instantly. Also, what if somebody has a heart attack? I had a 50-plus year old man freak out today over a banana spider. I had to grab it and take it for a walk so he could get through the door. (Sometimes it’s hard not to laugh. But some people are scared of the weirdest things. I’m only afraid of stuff that can really hurt me. I’ve been bitten twice by tiny brown recluse spiders and my skin melted off. When I see them I just pinch them.)
From a distance, and in the dark, I can see why someone may mistake DogSpider as a real thing. He couldn’t do that for very long in the United States, in my opinion. Unless you’re in a ‘designated area’, people will shoot at you when they feel that threatened. Pobre Chicalita, she only wants to play!

I don’t think you get an immunity. Both spiders were so tiny I barely noticed them, until I got bit. The area turns purple and looks a bit like a zit. Then the top craters open and the skin sloughs off.
I had the all over the house. I got some real poison from somebody with a license and sprayed the house and out-buildings. I haven’t seen any since. But they’re in the woods around the house.
If they’d been bigger, I’d probably have had to go the hospital.
I’ve lived around brown recluse spiders all my life. The secret is don’t stick your hand or any other party your body into a place that has been undisturbed for any length of time.
One other thing. Don’t spray let those nasty little spiders that eat brown rice recluse spiders thrive. the little wolf spiders.
Was not funny. There are people who are real paranoid over spiders and they see something like that coming it could literately put them over the top. If I saw that I’d shoot it then go look for the person who set it up and .....
Easy for you to say looking at a picture of it on your computer. I would be will to wager any amount that if you saw that coming at you, you’d need to change your pants. It was not funny.

I’m pretty sure that was all fake. But it’s funny.
Certainly but in the end, once I found out it was a prank I could probably laugh.
Wonder how long the shakes and nightmares would last until you could laugh it off.
In Los Angeles it would have been trapped and adopted out.
As long as no of got hurt or humiliated, probably right away.
I define humiliation in terms where the personhood wasn’t respected.
