Next week Enquirer or STAR tabloid will say it was mysteriously being pulled toward the BERMUDA TRIANGLE.

Don’t laugh. About 35 years ago One author claimed a plane from Louisiana on a short hop, mysteriously flew out over the Atlantic where it disappeared in the Bermuda Triangle.

It really crashed no where near the Triangle.

This problem is why I believe the ICAO now requires at least one member of the flight crew flying a long-range passenger jet must wear an oxygen mask with a properly working oxygen system. That way, in case of something that causes cabin pressure loss, the flight crew member wearing the mask can immediately start the emergency descent procedures down to 11,000 feet, the highest safe altitude where flight crews can operate a plane without oxygen masks.
