If truth were told, Don Rickles couldn’t compare to her biting wit. I saw her a couple years ago. I think she was the one getting roasted by a variety of comedians. Some of them were young up coming comedians...She got up there with fresh material and just roasted the full lot of them.. I mean all of them...to the point that it put them in their place. She was funny.

She’d done some scathing routines on Maggie Thatcher and Queen Elizabeth. So they lured her out somewhere, and in walks a Thatcher impersonator. Who starts dressing Joan down with perfect Brit cutting understatement. Joan was really falling all over herself trying to backpeddle ... but was extremely good natured about it when the prank was revealed.
