Anyone else remember when she got punked back in the 80s (before punked was even a term)?
She’d done some scathing routines on Maggie Thatcher and Queen Elizabeth. So they lured her out somewhere, and in walks a Thatcher impersonator. Who starts dressing Joan down with perfect Brit cutting understatement. Joan was really falling all over herself trying to backpeddle ... but was extremely good natured about it when the prank was revealed.
Wow, that would have been hilarious.
I know Johnny Carson never forgave her.
