They resuscitated her. She was on life support for a week, that is not DNR.

They likely, don’t know, removed all of the resuscitating equipment when the time was right, and there was no life.

there was likely no brain activity for all that time, and she probably essentially died a week ago at the clinic.

This is not the first time I’ve read what a sob he was. No secret in HW. Jay. Leno was twice the man he was.

Joan thumbed her nose at PC. A 50 year career that pioneered the way for female standups. She was afraid. of no Vip. She spoke her mind and you never saw her on TV sniveling, apologizing and making a fool of herself. Thank you for defending Isreal. A true American Icon..an American treasure. I love you, Joan. Rest in peace, dear lady.

I was listening to Dr. Segal on Megyn’s show last night.

He made the point that she “apparently” went in to cardiac arrest and CPR was administered by someone but she was likely only getting about 30% oxygen to the brain for too long a period between the occurrence of the cardiac event and finally reaching a REAL hospital equipped and staffed to adequately respond to cardiac issues.

Joan just went to a clinic Dr. Seal, said but she should have gone to a hospital. The clinic simply was never designed or intended to handle cardiac arrest. This will be part of what the lawsuit will be about. Namely, they should not have done this procedure without being equipped to handle cardiac events? And, did they warn Joan?

"Does anyone have a idea of what really happened? Why would they take her off life support that fast? Did they do EEG or any other method to determine if she was responsive?"

I don't know. Maybe some day full truth will be revealed.

“...No such thing as minor surgery...”

Especially at 81 years old...

Sorry to hear this. Always liked her. She had a quick, witty sense of humor.

Carol Burnett is another comedienne that I always enjoyed.

Woof, Brother Dawg...

“Thanks for all the laughs...”

Indeed... will miss her.

RE :”Carol Burnett is another comedienne that I always enjoyed.”

Like Sonny and Cher and countless other 1960s and 1970s shows it was a musical comedy hour, after Burnett's show ended production on CBS it immediately got repackaged from 1 hour to 1/2 hour into a syndication show removing the singing and dancing, and was on the air on weeknights like 7pm.

Man that is history now, like all the movie musicals when talkie movies first came out ~ 1929.

From what I recall the show wasnt the same after Harvey Korman left. Harvey Korman and Tim Conway were hilarious together. You could catch Korman laughing at Conway in the middle of kits.

>>Harvey Korman and Tim Conway were hilarious together. You could catch Korman laughing at Conway in the middle of kits.<<

Conway made it his mission on every show to destroy Korman. The scripts were loose and let all the cast improvise. Tim Conway was BORN to improvise.

On so many episodes, Harvey spent 1/2 the skits trying not to laugh. Instead he laughed so hard he would cry sometimes.

You don’t see that talent today.

As with Robin Williams, Joan Rivers brought something unique to comedy and we are all the poorer for their passing.

In the PC world of today when humor is branded as hate, then the lefties who hate themselves and humanity have won since there are none who dare follow.

Yep I recall that from a documentary/tribute show Burnett and Lawrence explaining that. They were definitely good together,

In the span of a month, 2 of the funniest people on the planet are gone.

You make an interesting point. Both of these legends were known for their their wit - their voices - and the laughter they generated (topics and targets notwithstanding).

Robin Williams death was from asphyxia - he choked his own throat; Joan Rivers went in for a throat/vocal chord procedure and never came back.

Something about the land being made desolate, the ceasing of the voice of mirth, the voice of gladness...>>>

Mirth ceasing, from sea to shining sea... California to New York... Woe indeed!

The Dentist skit comes immediately to mind... Kormann had to turn away from the camera he was laughing so hard; you could see his whole body shaking. Conway was stabbing himself everywhere with the novacaine needle. My God, that was a hilarious skit!

Carol Burnett also did parodies of “Sunset Boulevard” and “Gone With The Wind” that were just unbelievably funny. I used to watch this show with my folks; there was nothing raunchy or nasty about it.

Yeah... all good things come to an end, eventually... and get replaced with pop-fad crap.
