Many problems with kids can be traced to their parents. So why have millennials been singled out as a uniquely depraved generation? Werent they raised by somebody?
For those who may have missed the latest skirmish in Americas generational warfare, a new survey by marketing firm DDB finds millennials those between 19 and 34 years old, more or less may be more venal and self-aggrandizing than older folks. Theyre more likely to consider themselves workaholics even with a work ethic their elders find lacking and a scandalous 27% of millennials say theyd take credit for a colleagues work if it helped them get ahead. Just 15% of Generation Xers and 5% of baby boomers say theyd do that.

"Boomers began to flood into the labor force around 1970, when the ratio of CEO pay to that of a typical worker was about 20-to-1. Now, as boomer careers begin to sunset, the CEO-to-worker pay gap has soared to about 230 to 1. Theres loads of other data showing the rich have gotten considerably richer during the past two decades, while much of the middle class has fallen behind....
"Millennials may look at everything the boomers have accomplished wrought and think their parents generation are the real jerks. And if millennials dont think that now, they might when boomers raid Social Secrurity and Medicare, perhaps leaving a few pennies for the next, unfortunate batch of seniors."
Lionizes Democrat One-World Boomers like Oprah and Bill Gates; ignores the nefarious acts of Democrat Socialists like the Clintons, Carter, and the current administration, no less the Democrat Congresses during Bush's administration. Blame must be laid to Republicans; that's the Democrat way. Blame must be against parents. That's the Freudian way. And all blame must be collective. That's the Marxist way.
“This is called Divide and Conquer. Its a great weapon. Lump people into groups and sow hatred.”
Balkanizing fits the bill pretty well.
Is that you, Jake?
Born in 62, so I guess I am at the end of the Boomer Gen? Anyhow, It is my opinion that those that elected the Turds of the 60's and 70's caused the biggest havoc on society to date-with the exception of King Nero the Last. It was also this generation that has taken over Public Education with their Bill Ayres politics. They have spent 40 years infiltrating all parts of Government and corrupted it completely.
LBJ ruined black family structure and most every dem. and RINO in office has fed that beast every election cycle. They also looted SSI to pay for both the War and social give aways. Fat Drunk Ted Kennedy also had his corrupt fingers in both "Saving SSI" and Immigration.
BTW My first vote in Presidential Elections was for Reagan in 80.
I make no excuses for the Baby Boom generation but lets never forget to praise the generation that allowed the nazis to ignore the Versailles treaty and re-arm. It’s been estimated that even as late as 1935 the French, THE FRENCH!!, could have wiped out the Third Reich. By 1939, not so much.
My Grandfather blamed Roosevelt for the masses of welfare recipients and subsidy farmers. This was before WWII. He despised the local Democrat farmers that depended upon the government for their yearly government check.
I agree with you completely. Let’s face it, these generational issues stem from liberalism. The members of a generation who buy heavily into one (or more) liberal precept or another are the ones that end up defining that generation in the public perception.
My parents were very hardworking and ambitious, but both ended up buying into the “sexual revolution”, which basically perverted what should have otherwise been a virtue; liberalism is poison like that. If you’re working hard to make yourself desirable to the opposite sex when you have a family you’re not providing for, then something is seriously wrong with you. If enough people do the same thing because they’re all buying the same snake oil then a generation gets defined by it, as unfair as that happens to be for those who weren’t buyers.
It’s a shame that they want us at each others throats and it actually works.
Who can we blame for the baby boomers?
Hey, Why Not?
No, we can’t blame W. He’s a sweetie.
My kids work hard and none of them take handouts from the government! They are all in their early 30s. They wouldn’t vote for Obama for dog catcher.
On to Milwaukee, They need to put the Brewers way back in the rear view mirror. I haven’t expected a lot out of Miller lately but I gotta hand it to him, he pitched a great game.
