Practice squads are so queer.
Washington Post....did they mention the Redskins?
“Do you speak Canadian?”
Eric Holder will get on it right away. Racism AND homophobia.
FYI, the Montreal Alouettes have Sam’s CFL rights.
As liberal as they are there, it might be the perfect place for him.
He just hated to leave his friend’s behind.
He’ll probably get picked up by the Rams for their 10 man practice team. He already knows their system and the Rams are one of a limited number of teams who run a 3-4 defensive scheme that would utilize a player like Sam.
And now a word from the Commissioner..
Ray McDonald.. Gone! (For six games anyway)
Michael Sam. Uhhh .. On hold, taking a cold shower.
Go VIKES!!
>> Even if he does sign with the Rams, itll be tough for him to get onto the field, though, given the teams depth on the defensive line.
Yeah, but *no* NFL player has the expertise Sam does at penetrating deep into the backfield.
I remember reading a story about a week ago that said “the Rams wouldn’t dare cut Sam out of fear that another team would pick him up.” I wondered...why would the Rams care if another team picked him up if the Rams cut him. Well, I guess it doesn’t matter any way...
He’s just not good enough to play in the NFL. 99% of college football stars aren’t. 1% are. Case closed.
Seriously, though, while Sam’s play on defense was better than expected, the reason he was cut was because he didn’t cut it on special teams.
If you’re going to be a second/third stringer, you’d better make an impact on special teams or else there is no justification for you taking up a roster spot.
And once Sam Bradford went down, the Rams didn’t have the luxury of wasting a roster spot on Sam.
“...the 249th pick in the seventh round of the NFL draft..”
That’s one REALLY long round!
He can always play for the Minnesota Vikqueens.
Unless the Rams want to be known as the “Sams” for entire career of Sams it’s best to let him go. There’s no way the team is ever going to get any kind of credibility (or expand their fanbase) with Sams on the roster.
Dime to a dollar, espn picks him up to work with them.
Free agent?
Well there are lots of roadside restrooms.
It just occurred to me: There probably won’t be a Son of Sam.
Sam can’t fudge about being a good football player anymore. I guess he’ll be packin’.
