So a few weeks ago, my Wonderful Wife got a bug in her bonnet to see Niagara Falls.

I would check out the Buffalo Wild Wings. Yes, it’s a national chain but the original one in Buffalo is worth checking out. There is also a museum about the Blizzard of 1977 in which a whole lake full of snow got dumped on the city during a windstorm and people were buried under about 10 feet of it.

Whatever you/they do I'm sure you will enjoy it. Be safe and have a good time.

I remember when the Haida was moored in Toronto. She is a Tribal class destroyer that saw action in both WWII and Korea.

One must also visit the “Susquehanna Hat Co.”. They too were located at Niagara Falls. St Louis Ball players, Hooze, Watts and Idono wore one of their cap models. :)

If your missus loves flowers and plants, tell her to visit the horticulture school and botanical gardens on the Canadian side. There is also this big floral clock nearby. Fantastic!

Get T shirts from the Hard Rock for the kids. I did.

The Ripleys Believe it it not, as well as the Guinness World Records museums are complete rip offs.

There was a cool 360 (270 maybe) degree movie about the discovery of the Falls by the first white devil slave masters which I liked.

The ‘No Smoking’ section on the American side was fun, except I do not smoke anyhow.

Of course, I have not been there since ‘98’ so there may be some changes.

Best part of “Niagara” movie was when the boat went ga-glook over the edge, then they rescued the girl by helicopter.

Do the Canadian side. Falls have a tunnel that isn’t horrible, but not exciting. Maid of the Mist is a staple. There are a lot of “museums” and attractions in “town”. Like a wax museum, for example. DO NOT waste money on the Guinness World Record place. If I recall right it was mostly a bunch of plaques on the walls. So the town looks a bit like a tiny Times Square the way the buildings are all done up to attract customers, and everything costs exactly twice what the experience is worth.

I saw a show that featured a speed boat thingy ride - that looked exciting. Which is why I didn’t do it. :)

Burger King charges about double in US currency for the same meal as in the US. Something about exchange fees. And the staff were haters.

Nearby is the wine trail, which I didn’t do. We only spent one full day in the Falls because that will provide ample time to do the Falls and the town.

I have no idea how one might occupy oneself for four days there. On the way out we went in search of the original Buffalo wings restaurant. A bit tough to find, it is the the old section of Buffalo. I don’t eat hot wings, but my husband loves them. He said those were good, but not spectacular.

The American side of the falls can be a bit dicey. Nearby neighborhoods are bad and very rundown.

We did Kingston (Thousand Islands) then Toronto, before finishing in Niagara Falls, on the Canadian side, very enjoyable trip.

I would recommend the Butterfly Conservatory in Niagara.

They should bring along a couple of hefty barrels.

If we are lucky, some liberals will volunteer to get in them, and go over the falls. If we are even luckier, maybe they will go over the falls without the barrels.

If they have a rental car, they can drive up to Lockport and take the Erie Canal locks tour.

The Anchor Bar on Main st in downtown Buffalo was the first bar to offer wings.
