Looks like they aren't re-defining, just requiring their definition be used to collect benefits.

Easy solution is don't take the benefits.

That's what being argued here.... benefits from government.

Not real marriage, promised as a sacrament in front of God.

Just government benefits.

The Supreme Court established marriage as a right in Loving vs Virginia. I agree with the ruling

So, did they say you have a right marry your mother?

So, businesses can’t discriminate on the basis of race or religion? or just not against “minorities”??

I picked up lunch from my favorite Indian restaurant last week.

Guess what sign they have on their wall?

I'm assuming the government won't go after some shirtless, barefoot redneck who demands a filet mignon, but what do I know?

It's almost like some baker who COULD theoretically make a Hindu sear a steak for you. They DO have a grill, after all.

If it's America circa 2014, my guess is that they'd be left alone.

Bad "optics" and all.

Only Christians are to be harassed.

It's the liberal, I mean, the American way.

I support the Giffords decision. However they could also choose to not be forced out of business, allow the ceremony, and donate every penny of profit to a conservative Christian cause. Then be sure to thank the ‘newlyweds’ for their support, publicly.

“The state is supposed to do what WE want.”

It is. That’s the problem.

We’ve lost the country - even red states are 50/50 on the issue, and the nation as a whole is against us. We’ll never have a chance of even carving out some exceptions unless we admit reality.

Hope you’re happy, you dyke b****es. Gays are always complaining they’re discriminated against, then they do everything in their power to make normal people HATE them.

If it were me I would have allowed the gay weddings except that on wedding day I will be far away while my assistant is in charge. I am not going watch this perversion and mockery of marriage.

#2 I will hire five guys with rifles to guard the sheep and other livestock

And this is the thing ... you can't help it if your assistant is a clumsy oaf, who can't be trusted with the slightest thing, and all the arrangments get messed up.

Fine let him make a mess of it. All weddings must be paid for in advance.

BTW I’ll make sure this inept assistant is gay to deflect all blame from me

How about this, have all the staff openly carrying, several guards with scary looking rifles, pictures of Ronald Reagan prominently displayed, maybe some Biblical artwork, and Rush Limbaugh playing in the background.

Eventually even churches will be given similar orders by judges.
