your point is good but when in a panic go slow toward coming away alive.
Really? That’s Good to know
only locks when the wheel is turned. Drive straight, switch off, then back to on without activating starter motor.
Ok.. how many systems had to fail for her CC to lock “on”??
My van has a cruise on/off switch. It also has a cruise cancel button.. it also cancels when the push of the brakes.. If for some reason all that fails I can use the - button to drop 1 MPH per push.. push like a mad man and eventually you’ll get below it’s lowest allowed speed (by the programming, mine is 30 MPH) and it’ll cancel. It also has a light to indicate cruise is on, and another to indicate it is set.
how badly buggered up was this car?
Now I could see the throttle sticking and causing her to think the CC was still on.
shift in to neutral while key is off.. even automatics will sometimes pick back up after a key off/on cycle.
not even a blonde joke!
muslum drivers. allah ackerbar.
Major Sultan bin....uh, whatever...Skyhook, then went on to say that she would be stoned to death at sunrise for driving a car without a male present and her face not covered.
(Oh, that's racist...I'm a bad boy.)
(Wait...mooselimb is not a race, is it?)
She was screaming. She was in a bad psychological state but we tried our best to calm her down

Good luck there. Perhaps you should instead try your best to win the lottery.
What is MBZ?
No such thing as an emergency brake. That is a parking brake and is more likely to cause an uncontrollable spin than anything

shift in to neutral while key is off..

In modern American cars, it is very easy to inadvertantly lock the steering wheel by turning the key off. As one might expect, the result is unpleasant.
Jump out...buy lots of band-aids.
LOL ... emergency brake ... and you are correct. I remember a story of a friend and brakes that did not work on a car, friend drove. Was a volks bug. All he had for brake was parking brake. Once upon a time friend rounded a curve and there was a traffic check with HP. Friend cruised right through the stop, unable to stop in time. Needless to say, friend had a difficult time explaining why he ran the traffic stop to HP and soon he had brakes repaired.
75 mph.
If its a rental car....Throw it in reverse....

Further, the brakes on (just about) any car will bring the car to a ‘safe’ stop. A panicky driver will use the brakes to moderate speed in a stuck throttle scenario, thereby overheating them and rendering them useless. That said, it is hard to guess what Anyone will do in a panic situation.
