In an incident eerily similar to an eyeglass-store commercial, an 88-year-old woman was attacked Sunday night by a raccoon she accidentally let into her home and then tried to pet, thinking it was her cat, according to police...

I love that ad too.
I especially like the way the raccoon settles right in at the foot of the bed.
.
I hate it when that happens.
I laughed out loud at your post! Good one.
There was a bartender @ The Old Blarney in NYC I always referred to as “Fookin’ Jimmy”
I have a elderly neighbor who thought he was feeding a outside cat, when the raccoon which was eating the cat food attacked and bit him. A trip to the emergency room later and a series of shot due to possibility of rabies, and he was angry at his vision going bad, the raccoon biting him and not having the raccoon caught. He went to feed the cat later that week and guess who was there. He had a 22 rifle that he pointed at the raccoon, who grabbed the barrel and put the business end in it’s toothy mouth. My neighbor was more than happy to pull the trigger. The raccoon, trying to bite the interfering piece of metal, made a kill possible.
At least she wasn't bitten by a møøse!
Even other animals don't like them.
She says Goodnight sweet girl

Thanks. If the woman’s real cat heard that it would be mighty jealous.
A little off topic:
I have a neighbor who is a screaming Liberal who also, of course, knows EVERYTHING!!!
She feeds a neighborhood stray. I reminded her that maybe one of the local raccoons could be consuming the food as well and COULD be rabid, she said; ‘That’s OK.’
Won’t hear ANYTHING contrary to her preconceived ideas AT ALL. She is SURE about everything she thinks and is sure as well, that it is unassailable truth!!!
I didn’t bother telling her that her own house cat, which interacts with the stray, could pick up something... she wouldn’t hear of it.
A black and white animal down in the woods.
I said, “Look! Isn’t that cat pretty?”
I went right over to pick it up,
But it wasn’t that kind of a kitty!
“Come snuggle with mama !”
