I believe that there are those who see support of Israel as not in the interests of the US (deluded and stupid), and that their view is not really anti Semitic like that of the left, which really does have an animus for Israel and Jews. But no one is going to convince me that they are “conservatives”.

Are there really people foolish enough to believe that if Israel is destroyed the Islamists will leave everyone else alone?

N.B.: Half the population of Qatar are foreigners, both Indian and Pakistani. 40% are Arabs, and 10% are Shiites originally from Iran. However, the Iranian minority tend to create nuisance, so are often suppressed by the Arab minority. In total, it is still 77.5% Muslim.

Only 2.1 million people total.

This means that if they got a sudden inrush of non-Muslims, it could result in a coup making them a secular country.

Just saying.

Israel would have preferred to use the Suez Canal as a natural barrier between themselves and Egypt; President Carter twisted their arm and forced them to give it back in return for peace. The first President Bush forced Israel to negotiate with the PLO, something they didn’t want to do. President Clinton forced Israel to cede territory to the Palestinian Authority, territory later used to launch suicide bombings from. Finally, president Obama has repeatedly pressured Israel into doing things they don’t want to do.

Emphasis mine.

The author is implying that Israel does not have the power to make decisions in its own best interest ... even when the antagonist, so to speak, is the whiny ponce Obama. However, elsewhere he states that Israel is militarily and economically powerful.

It seems like a contradiction: an economically and militarily power state that has to jump at the word of Barry Obama.

The vast majority of conservatives support Israel, unlike the majority of liberals, who would love to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth.

Conservatives are not anti-Israel! Conservatives are thinking people. Thinking people cannot be against Israel. Israel is doing nothing to Hamas who are constantly lobbing missiles into Israel. Israel is doing nothing to the idiots in Lebanon who are now throwing missiles at Israel also. When they respond to try to stop the missiles, fools claim they are doing something wrong.

Genesis 12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee:

I"ll be with those who bless Israel.

I’ve never met an anti-Israel conservative... what’s he talking about?

There are three groups of anti-Israel conservatives:
1. Hypocritical isolationists, whose opposition to Israel is a breach of non-interventionism.
2. Third worldists and anti-nationalist libertarians
3. Anti-semites infected by the leftist virus of grievance who attack Israel to attack Jews.
To put it another way, there are no actual conservatives there. And the really sad thing is the confluence of the three in paleoconseratives, who undermine America's right to exist, when the attack Israel.
