New law only allows police of same ethnicity to shoot suspects

FERGUSON, MO. – (TG) Attorney General Eric Holder, who flew to Ferguson to be close to The Troubles, had a surprise for a torn community aching for a meaningful solution to racial tension betwixt law enforcement and citizenry. On Wednesday, he announced a sweeping edict that would require any U.S. peace officer discharging a weapon against a suspect to be of the same ethnic group as the suspect.

At the time of Holder’s announcement, the pronunciamento was a fait accompli, as President Obama had privately birthed the requirement via executive action during his brief return to the capital on Monday.

Apparently seeking to head off criticism, Holder stressed the importance of mutual aid tactics among law enforcement agencies, saying that the Justice Department had conducted a simulation of the effects of the new law and found them “reasonable.”

“A local agency – the police in Butte, Montana, for example – might encounter a violent suspect of a race for which there is no corresponding officer,” Holder intoned, referring to one of the simulated events.

In the scenario, a Maori man becomes startled when asked to pay for an MCAT prep book at a local bookstore. Because of the language barrier, mild legal intoxicants, a stubborn desire by the bookstore clerk to be paid, and, most of all, police overreaction, the Maori begins threatening officers and civilians, producing a knife.

After a few stabbings and substantial deliberation, Butte-Silver Bow law enforcement makes the sobering decision that shots must be fired.

Working quickly, officers determine they do not have a Maori officer on staff. Within an hour, they have concluded that no U.S. agency has a Maori officer on staff.

Well damn, a lot of white police officers are going to be getting pink slips. And the black communities have reason to rejoice ecause they are going to have to hire a helluva lot black officers. Quite a few Hispanic officers to deal with the illegal immigrant gang members as well...

This is almost like something out of a Douglas Adams book...

Cop A: “Halt or we’ll have to open fire!”
Cop B: (aside) “Wait, remember the new regs!”
Cop A: “Oh, right. Hey, you! Can you confirm your race for us?”
Thug: “Are you blind? I’m white, man.”
Cop A: “Religion?”
Thug: “Buddhist.”
Cop A: “Gay or straight?”
Thug: “Gay”
Cop A: “Damn, that knocks me out, how about you?”
Cop B: “I’m ‘questioning’”
Cop A: “Close enough. Shoot him.”

Then you get a force like NOLA... everyone on the take and NO law enforcement to speak of.

Exactly. That is the aim, black controlled cities that accomplish nothing but failure, then the fedgov can bring in the heavy hitters because local government is the enemy of fedgov where everything can be under the thumb of the central authority.

You know some “liberal” will look at this and actually think it’s a good idea.

I couldn’t believe what I read about the NOLA police.

Incredible.

In the meantime, taxpayers, citizens, business owners, etc. pay the price, both materially and practically.

First, high taxes to stuff the force with idiots who only draw a pay and never perform as effective law enforcement... and secondly, a lawless and disorderly community.

For a place like NOLA which relies by much on revenue of travel guests... that is suicide.

In any case, NO city can afford to set this kind of precedent.

Law enforcement must be uniform across the board and police conduct must be prompt and efficient. If you start to introduce situational, subjective, emotional and hysterical elements into how they do their work, it will no longer BE law enforcement-and NO ONE will be safe, not EVEN the people who demand emotion driven exceptions for themselves as ‘special groups’ in the law.
