James Foley Went Looking to Support Terrorists in Syria, Instead They Cut Off His Head
FrontPageMag ^ | August 19, 2014 | Daniel Greenfield

James Foley was one of a new breed of activists calling themselves journalists. He didn’t travel to report on a story, but to promote an agenda. And the agenda was obvious from his Twitter feed.

[snip]

Foley came to Syria to support the Sunni Islamist rebels against the Syrian government.

He cheered on the Sunni Muslim terrorists fighting to ethnically cleanse the Christians of Aleppo. In the conflict between Israel and Hamas, his tweets and retweets were chock full of pro-terrorist propaganda.

Did he read that before he was beheaded? While he was kneeling - the only picture I’ve seen? Holy smoke!!! That’s pretty strange wording if you know you are about to meet your maker. I wonder why this isn’t part of the reporting? Too offensive? Oh! jeez - not that again!

Maybe my take on hearing his mother speak today wasn’t far off - all I could think of was comparing her to Berg’s father and the state Foley’s family lives in!

Foley was Catholic. The video of his first kidnapping shows him praying the rosary.

That is hopeful. The Twitter tweets under his name are troubling. I notice a distinct anti Israel, pro-Hamas and other Moslem bias but did not see anything in his tweets about the holy catholic apostolic church. He made a lot of mistakes. I hope he repented and endured in the faith until the end.

Covering a story while “embedded” with the enemy isn’t necessarily “bright” and at worst would constitute the so called “journalist” an “enemy combatant” as far as I can see.

Bravery? In this case, it sounds more like he was a sympathizer who thought that rooting for his ultimate executioners would probably keep him safe. He gambled and lost hard. Bravery and stupidity go hand in hand in many cases and in this case I’m not even sure bravery would be an applicable tag.

In the end, he made an entirely stupid choice and underestimated the savagery of those who ultimately killed him. Play a stupid game, win stupid prizes.

Besides, what good in this day and age does his so called “reporting” do? IS is more than happy to take their own videos and such and display them to the world.

Foley seems more and more to not have been some dedicated journalist but an active participant in the conflict that rages in that area. Have a look at his tweets and perhaps that will shed a different outlook upon his motivations. He isn’t the honest, hard working, dedicated neutral “reporter” in any way as far as I’m concerned.

He put himself in a bad situation by his own devices and payed for his stupid mistake(s) with his life. He got exactly what he deserved.

Since Obama supported the "freedom fighters" in Syria I guess it makes sense that most "journalists" did too.

He chose incorrectly.

And you won't. Watch the Foley video; the muzzie "supposedly" hacks into Foley's throat with vigor (again, 5-7 times before the video cuts out).

Now, try the below two links (I warn, they are graphic).

http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=67a_1331412002
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=4ec_1407378929

See the difference? Blood immediately gushes because of the pressure well before what would have been the fade to black with the Foley video.

As well, there was also a second execution (well, at least a second man there in orange like Foley); the second guy looks like a bit chunkier guy of Foley.

I'm not buying any of this or zero's claims raids were done to save "hostages".

Update Per DebbieSchlussel:

"This wasn’t the first time he [Foley]was kidnapped by his Muslim buddies, whose extremism he championed. And not the first time they killed a fellow pro-jihad journalist in his midst. In 2011, Foley was kidnapped and nearly executed by other Islamic terrorists he championed against Qaddafi in Libya. He was kept in captivity by them for 44 days, and at least one other journalist–a photographer–was executed by them. Yet, he continued to champion their cause anyway. Because, again, he “knew better” than logic would dictate. You’d think that after being imprisoned and nearly killed by Muslim “freedom fighters,” he’d face the music and go home. But, no, he found a new group of even more brutal “liberal democrats” who finally finished him off.

Foley, like most of the other “journalists” who went to Syria, was there to champion the cause of the Syrian rebels. He wanted American taxpayers and NATO to finance, arm, and train them against Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad, the same thing Foley championed in Libya (and how did that turn out?). He, like Obama, McCain, Romney, and Paul Ryan, wanted us to side with these guys, insisting that the Free Syrian Army–a very tiny part of the Syrian rebel amalgam–was “moderate” and that by giving them arms, money, and training, we would impose HAMAS/Hezbo-style “democracy” on Syria, instead of keeping these people with the brutal dictator that most Muslims really need in spite of–and because of–themselves.

The sewers of the Internet are having a hard time finding the vid. The black clad gent went at this dude's throat and produced nothing. I know you know your way around (seen you enough around this forum), even a dull rusty owned by a backwood wannabe jihadi does more damage.

What I am more curious about now is the second guy in the flaming orange that was at the same location; he looked like a pudgy Foley. Haven't seen what happened to him yet either.

Browse the internet for the video. There are many that show him making
his statement, without showing the beheading part.

If there was evidence at FrontPageMag that Foley supported ethnic cleansing, I sure didn't see it.

According to the article, the evidence of Foley's support for terrorists is on (or was on) his Twitter account.

Okay, fine. Then why doesn't FrontPageMag simply include those damning Twitter posts as part of the article?

But, no. FrontPageMag instead just provides a link to Foley's Twitter account. Evidently FrontPageMag expects readers to sift through dozens and dozens of Foley's Twitter posts looking for some evidence of treason.

That's more than just bad journalism. It is journalism that should make anyone suspicious of FrontPageMag. Who knows at this point? Perhaps Foley was some sort of traitor. But FrontPageMag has so far offered zero proof of that.

I see 30 Foley twitter posts just now at the FrontPageMag site.
