Curt Schilling Reveals He Was Diagnosed With Mouth Cancer in February, Believes Chewing Tobacco Was the Cause

Curt Schilling, the former Red Sox pitcher and ESPN analyst, announced today during the WEEI/NESN Jimmy Fund Radio Telethon that he was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma -- which is cancer in the mouth -- in February.

"This all came about from a dog bite," Schilling said. "I got bitten by a dog and I had some damage to my finger and I went to see a doctor, and the day that I went to see the doctor, I was driving and I went to rub my neck and I felt a lump on the left side of my neck. And I knew immediately it wasn't normal. So there happened to be an ENT [Ear, Nose, and Throat] right next door to the hand doctor, and I thought what the heck, let me just stop in and see and so I waited in the office and went in there and they did the biopsy, and two days later, they diagnosed me with squamous cell carcinoma.

Who is he connected with that would threaten the lawmakers?

A good question...one that my lawyer says he can't answer.Another question is "what happened to the 75 million?" of course those two questions are very possibly connected If,by chance, you're curious and have time on your hands google "Schilling" and "threat".

We had a young lady die from too much water after running The Boston Marathon.

That wouldn't have been *specifically* due to "too much water" but, rather, because of a critical electrolyte imbalance...her sodium and/or potassium blood levels probably dropped to fatal levels.

The result is a decrease in smoking, with a slight increase in revenue. If the government’s goal is a reduction in smoking, they are making progress.

As to “benefits” of smoking, it seems you think that you either die from smoking, or your life is slightly better. That’s not how it works. The vast majority of smokers have a higher incidence of health problems compared to non-smokers. They have a far higher incidence of work absences and disability, which costs their employers and the taxpayers money and their co-workers have to pick up their slack.

If your intent is to make smokers feel better about themselves, you’re doing a great job. But it doesn’t change the fact that smokers are taking time and money from you, me and everyone else in this Country.

Now as to government involvement, I prefer a free market solution, and I believe e-cigs will shortly render both your opinion and mine moot.
