Missouri National Guard limited to tee shirts, shorts, and water guns in response to Ferguson riots

FERGUSON, Mo. (TG) –Missouri Governor Jay Nixon has ordered the National Guard to assist with peacekeeping efforts in Ferguson, the troubled St. Louis suburb that has been ravaged by more than a week of violent protests in reaction to the August 9 police shooting of hometown youth Michael Brown. However, in the latest effort to appease protesters, the Guard will be issued special matériel designed to portray a kinder, gentler law enforcement presence.

“Folks out there want to exercise their rights and throw bricks, bottles, and maybe fire off the odd round at law enforcement, and they get frustrated when those methods of communication are muted by things like Kevlar, helmets, armored vehicles or, worst of all – return fire,” said Colonel Les Spine of the 69th infantry brigade non-combat team. “That’s where our special outfit and its special outfits come in.”

Col. Spine’s brigade will be limited in apparel to rainbow-colored tee shirts, pocketless Bermuda shorts, and flip flops. As for armaments, brigade members will be limited to “super soaker” style water guns.

What a joke, the Rat Governor of MO is.
How does this nut case plan on defending businesses from being
looted and burned.

Satire, but with the “hug a thug” philosophy in effect over the past week one wouldn’t be surprised.

Why, you don’t think the Mississippi (Miss) national guard would be involved.

It’s not just satire, it’s bad satire.

The whole world knows about Ferguson and now they’re going to see our National Guard in tie-dye shirts and flip flops? There is going to be some serious laughing by our enemies.

And why water guns? What’s wrong with slingshots and Nerf balls?

FReepers, Let's go!
Everyone needs to donate!

All contributions are for the current quarter expenses.

FReepathon day 48.

Two percent a day keeps the 404 away.

As usual, initial reports are erroneous.
They are being issued pop tarts which they may chew into the shape of guns.

Strangely, large breasted women have been targeted by the super soaker toting national guard soldiers.
