Read the whole wiki article like I did.

The US targeted the marshalling yards and the industrial areas with the latest targeting equipment.

Some of their bombs certainly hit the city, but that was not the intended target. The rail yards were close to built up city areas.

They dropped 3900 tons of bombs on the city. The air strikes on the marshalling yards were on two later air strikes, Oh and yeah I did read the article. I guess we just read it differently. You know war is hell as they say and unpleasant things are done to win them, the U.S. was just as thorough in their efforts to win as any one. I don't condemn them by any means, but I dont blind myself to the facts either.
