A UK man was killed after his device misfired and ignited his oxygen equipment, reports the BBC. Fire officials say David Thomson, 62, was charging his e-cig in his bedroom when it "exploded, caught fire, and ignited the oxygen tube of an oxygen concentrator, which may have been in use by the occupier."

I got all kinds of heebeejeebees for weeks. Even dreamed i was smoking for several years after.
It was the money thing that gave me the determination. I was sick of paying chemical extortion money to RJR.
Just think of all that money spent on smoking, could have been used to buy good beer...a shame I tell ya. :-)

Congratulations. I quit smoking 19 years ago right after I met my wife when she said I could smoke in her car. I didn’t want her to know me as a smoker. I just stopped.
I could see that not only you would not be able to talk to them but large groups could not even talk to each other.
You could see cults of technology and cults of the pristine human who refuse to be augmented by technology. You will have the poor who can't afford it as well. I suspect they will become so different from each other that they will not even regard each other as "true" human beings anymore.

LOL I’m allergic to something in beer. Causes me terrible stomach pains, so I haven’t had a beer since 1976. Actually quit all liquor, or anything with alcohol in it back in 1997. Don’t need that stuff to enjoy life. Not at all.

You are quite correct. I’d rather smell someone else’s cigarette smoke than listen the their insufferable preening.
It occurs to me that the only reason this event is news is because they can implicate e-cigs as the cause. It could well have been a cell phone charger and we wouldn’t be talking about this right now. I would venture also that there are other oxygen-related incidents that we never hear about.
Oxygen is extremely flammable. That big tank on the space shuttle had a lot of oxygen in it.

You are the only person who I have heard say they were allergic to beer. I am too, it closes my throat up. Scariest feeling I have ever had. Other alcoholic beverages give me a headache, an immediate headache but beer is the worst.
Needless to say, I do not drink!
