From what I understand, both MTM and DIck VanDyke were alcoholics when they were doing the Dick VanDyke show. I think I read that her in memoirs - and they became close drinking buddies. Sad!

It’s my understanding Ms. Moore was very much invested on liberal causes, but in recent years she has become more conservative. I’m going to speculate that her support of stem cell research comes from her diabetes. People with incurable diseases often embrace any possible cure without thinking of the moral implications. As a diabetic myself, I won’t fault her for that.

I saw that same picture and remarked to my husband that i wish we, as a society, still had the decency that would have prevented the publishing of such a picture. She deserves better than that.

Carl Reiner..who created, and often starred and directed in the show, lived in New Rochelle, on BonnieMeadow Lane..and that's where he had the Petries live. There actually is a real Bonnie Meadow Lane in New Rochelle, and at the height of the show's popularity..there'd be fans driving up and down the block at all hours...

The entire supporting cast was awesome...more so because VanDyke never felt compelled to be the "star"..he gave them the ability to start as well..

She was such a beautiful young woman.

She recently made a cameo appearance on TV Land’s sitcom Hot In Cleveland. Re-uniting with former co-stars Betty White, Georgia Engel, Cloris Leachman and Valerie Harper. MTM did not look good, but she managed to get through her scenes. I was quite impressed as I had heard the same news that she had gone blind.

Val Harper also continues to struggle against a brain tumor.

According to Mother Dolores Hart’s autobiography “The Ear of the Heart:” Elvis was a perfect gentleman and called her “Miss Dolores” on and off the set. See pages 50-74.

She hasn’t died yet, has she? I think it was last year or year before that Valerie Harper was reported to have brain cancer and had 3 months to live. Last time I saw her on TV, which was only a few months ago, she looked great!
