Yeah. I have a friend who has been off and on meds for years, and I really like her, so I don't want her to kill herself. BUT... I have noticed her depression fades when she's getting exactly what she wants. Very expensive food, clothes, vacations, drinks, etc seems to ease her depression. Having to work or clean house seems to exacerbate her depression.
This makes me suspicious. Know what I mean?

Yeah, but the pharma companies make money hand over fist with them.I have no idea why people get depressed and I know nothing about the efficacy of drugs or medications. However, nobody should encourage sick people to kill themselves or to be self-destructive.
Surely the average depressed person has spent less on medications than this guy has on his makeup and his plastic surgery. And, the result? Well, you be the judge, but it would be wrong for anyone to encourage Simmons to further mutilate himself like Michael Jackson did.
