Depends. If the GOPe get their way and join the democrats in passing some kind of “comprehensive” abortion then obviously, no.

I don't see disappointed Blacks changing their Democrat stripes. ...they've been taught Republicans opposed civil rights!

The best we can do is watch them stay home.

Funny, I just mentioned this on another subject. I think it is doable. I think it is worthwhile. I don’t think it is a ruse either as they have been on the democrat plantation and need to see how they can get off of it.

Definitely. If it was articulated well, it could break off a large amount of black voters.

The interesting thing is - at some of the anti-illegals, resettlement protests, have seen more than a few black people.

Some seem to understand that flooding the low-end job market with hundreds of thousands or millions of illegals isn’t going to help Black Americans, particularly youth, looking for jobs.

If they could get coordinated. The Republican leadership could beat the Democrats about their heads with just about any issue.

The economy? Yep.
Treatment of women? Yep.
Foreign affairs? Yep.
Unemployment? Yep.
Safety of the country? Yep.

Ted Cruz and Sarah Palin have made a case on how we have to reach out to the ‘forgotten man’ and working-class poor. I think we can peel off some of the black votes.

The GOP has a shot to win some of them if they make the case to them directly. I recently assisted with an event which brought in contract labor, with workers paid the California minimum wage. Several of these guys were black, from neighborhoods in Oakland I would never go to. Some were trying to get their GEDs and regretted dropping out of high school. Unemployment for black males without a diploma is 57 %!

I realized it’s a total lie that illegals are needed to do jobs Americans won’t. These guys are competing against illegal labor and it’s hurting them the most. In addition, high gas prices have a terrible effect on their pocketbooks.

We could make the case for punishing companies that hire illegals and lower gas prices through opening up drilling. In addition, we could make the case for good-paying energy jobs and explain how the global warming hoax is hurting our economy..

Here’s the problem. New Illegals take entry level low skill work, mostly from Blacks. Those Blacks now get EBT cards and bammy-phones, etc. It’s tough sell to get them to give up the freebies in return for a crap job.

Can the GOP use Illegal immigration as a wedge issue to speak to black voters?

The answer is no. It doesn't matter how much evidence is presented, or how persuasive an argument is made regarding how harmful illegal immigration is to the black community. The mindset, for about 85% of black voters is: "he's one of us, so we don't care what he does, we will support him no matter what."

What ... offer the GOP blessing to one group of freeloaders by taunting them with the prospect of being called ‘Conservatives’ (a title neither group comprehends or respects) JUST to spite another group of equally demanding and anti-American freeloaders?

Really?

What a waste of time and effort.

Neither group will ever BE actual Conservatives ... and the GOP has been unsuccessfully pandering to black voters for donkey’s years!

There is nobody smart enough in the GOPe to handle a campaign like that.

Maybe they could, but they would just screw it up because they are incompetent.
