Quinn and Rose are off the air, and we await word that they are returning soon. (Stand by) Meanwhile, our friendly group of dedicated FReeper Q&R fans will meet in our usual spot - same time, same station - as we always have! So grab your coffee - or whatever you choose to start your day - and drop in for some political chit-chat, or just to shoot the breeze! Mornin’ everybuddy!
Morning AM! Sure would be nice to attend that pig roast up in Blair county. Going to sister’s that week up near Scranton!
Good morning!
Hope everyone had a great 4th.
Don’t feel bad.. I’ll be up to my neck in home DIY projects.. I he so many lined up.. I may need to clone myself to get ‘em all finished before the snow flies!
Good morning n’@!
Hope yinz ALL had a great Fourth—we had such beautiful weather her in the Steel Buckle of the Rust Belt (as Quinn would say!)
Thanks ALSO for the nice wishes on my wedding anniversary and PaGrandBaby’s 2nd BDay. We had a wonderful time at her party.
Over weekend I read (and tweeted) a link Drudge had to an article by Dr. Michael Savage (who I ALSO miss being on the air here). His PhD is in epidemiology and he warns, point blank, of the real THREAT of pandemic from our southern border invasion. I’ll find the link and post it at lunchbreak.
Today is a carpool, I’m at bus driver day. Still no extra vehicle. Sigh.
Thanks for the heads-up on the Rose event in Hollidaysburg.
I have family in the Altoona area so I’ll be sure to let them know.
Spent time seasoning a brand new pie iron while listening to the radio. Had to buy a new computer... and it has the WindBLOWs 8.1 on it.. what crap! Charms.. OH BOY! Day it’s history!
We had a nice time on the 4th. Went to sister-in-laws for a cookout. She lives in Elderton. Tom Smith (who ran against Casey) has a business out there. He sets up the BEST fireworks every year. He’s a real down-home patriot. Too bad he lost (or rather, he was cheated out of) the senate seat. So we watched the fireworks and sat around the fire and ate s’mores.
Wish we could go to Hollidaysburg too. Would love to see Rose!
PaMom, glad you had a wonderful celebration! Today my grandbaby is three months old. Where does the time go?
Windows 8 STINKS!!! I still prefer XP and win7!
Got the ‘start’ menu back. Apparently, enough people complained about the awful interface that they gave the option to get the old start menu back. Life is so much simpler again!
WinBLOWS 8.1 is Total Crap!
Did you see this:
Yikes!! Darn near lost my tag line... Boy, that was close
Hey .. got my pie iron seasoned.. and then I found this..
http://www.wvagriculture.org/images/Literature/Cast-IronCookbook-2.pdf
figure it won’t take too much to adapt some of these goood recipes to pie iron cookin’ MMMmmmm
Of course, if yer not into pie ironin’ ya can still use ‘em as intended.
OK.. I couldn’t help myself after lookin’ at those recipes, I had to look for their Cast Iron Cookbook #1.. there ya go a complete set.

Hope I didn’t miss anyone...here is the link for the Dr. Michael Savage WARNING on risk of disease from southern border.
