Nothing beats Free Republic when it comes to honoring America on Independence Day or, for that matter, every day. This frequently-posted picture really captures the true spirit of these United States:

I respectfully beg to differ by offering these counter examples where two notoriously pro-union individuals are depicted with respect and nobility:

I fail to see how an animated 4th of July parade, with a decidedly uplifting message (the other musicians helping the little kid) is disrespectful.

That particular perception is my reality and I fully understand that even Conservatives may differ, especially on something as subjective as art. Admittedly I am biased against Google at the outset and that colors my perception.

In any case, may you and yours have a Joyous and Blessed Independence Day. I did find it worthwhile to engage in this discussion with you since we did so without rancor.

(And I agree with your bias against Google. I think we can all agree that Google is no friend to conservatives, even if we respectfully disagree on particular incidents).
