Hmm. So AT&T are moving to exchanges in California. On the web there is a memo dated May 20 from a Marty Webb saying thhis decision wasn’t related to obamacare but had been in works before. Ha ha. But that is what it says

Also — you mentioned Medicare. I thought once you went on Medicare (age 65) then a company like AT&T no longer was involved with a retiree’s health care. So this change should impact retirees in that area until they reach 65 and go on Medicare. If I am wrong I welcome the education.

You are correct about Medicare being the primary health care provider after 65, however the secondary insurance provider (United Healthcare right now) provides dental and prescriptions, after meeting the deductible. I can’t wait to see what’s coming in 2015. I’m sure the cost is not going down.

After 65 and medicare eligible ATT became the supplemental for medicare with a monthly premium.
That was the deal when we all retired and has been for decades.
This became a supposedly Cadillac plan and ATT would now have to pay an excise tax I believe its called on these benis so they said “so long”.
