It might be the first order U.S. Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi doesn't obey.
The mother of the reservist, who is being held in a Mexican jail after mistakenly crossing the border with registered guns, told FoxNews.com her son just got an "Order to Muster" letter from the Marines telling Tahmooressi to report to the 4th Civil Affairs Group in Hialeah, Fla., on June 14. Although a Marine spokeswoman later told FoxNews.com that the corps is aware of Tahmooressi's current circumstances and does not expect him to report, failure typically can result in "other than honorable discharge" and affect Veterans Administration benefits.
"You are among the elite citizens of our nation who, if needed, are ready to answer the call to defend our freedom," reads the May 9 order written by Sgt. Maj. M.E. Sprague, which also reminds the recipient that, "Once a Marine, always a Marine."

If they want to remind him that “Once a Marine, Always a Marine” I suggest they go down to Mexico and tell him in person.....right after they remove him from the Mexican prison.
If Mexico blocks him from appearing, that makes him a Prisoner of War. Bad mojo for the Mexico scum.

Some Marines need to go and recreate the Battle of Veracruz, the acts of General Winfield Scott, and a host of others.
I know of another case were a man was held in the Mexican Prison system for some 5 months
after crossing the border with some 200 rounds of ammo in his vehicle. It took some five
months to get him out of Mexico and another month to clear the Feds system. Gov. Perry
issued a Texas Pardon in 2003.
There is a petition drive to try to help this Marine but don’t know if they can secure
the 100,000 signatures needed by the end of May.
....Meanwhile, a petition drive has been launched to spur President Obama’s intervention
in the case. In order for the White House to automatically look into the case, 100,000
signatures must be gathered by May 31. As of Tuesday, there are about 30,000 signatures
attached to the petition....

PRECISELY! I commented to my wife yesterday that, since he’s in reserve status, the Corps should call him up then send a few thousand of his buds down to that shithole and bring him out!

On unfamiliar roads and missed the last U.S. exit and ended up in mexico made legal U-Turn and got busted by mexico’s slimeyist.
I don’t remember the exact events but he made a wrong turn and he couldn’t
turn around. He continued on which took him across the border.

I've never been within 300 miles of the US/Mexico border but I've been near the Canadian border many times.There are spots near that border that I've seen where it's easy to get confused.I've read that this is what happened to this Marine...he was near the border,was confused by poorly worded or placed signs and,as a result,crossed into Mexico without meaning to.
OK, that sounds plausible. Fair enough.
Unfortunately in life, there are some mistakes you just simply aren't ever allowed to make and crossing into Mexico with guns is one of them.
Greta did an extensive segment on this yesterday. She actually drove the route he took, It’s very easy to make the mistake he did even in daytime.
Glenn Beck asked Louie Ghomert today on his show to look into this issue. Hopefully Ghomert will act and help this soldier out, disgraceful that it has gone on this long.
The same thing happened to another Marine about 10 years ago. He volunteered to drive his truck, with his gun in it, from Camp Pendleton to the border to pick up some tipsy Marines. He missed the last exit and could not turn around before he crossed the border. Former Congressman Bilbray got him out of the Tijuana prison after about a month. That Marine got home, but his truck is still down there. I suspect the same will happen again.
