Schools are not centralized, they are neighborhood-ized, so of course schools in many urban areas will not be desegregated because the demographic just isn’t there. White flight was and remains a result of the crime, violence and drug/gang culture that permeates urban settings.
Another article I read said research has shown that of all the racial groups, it is whites that tended to be open to and have more diverse friendships than any other group.
Will bussing in white children from the suburbs to inner city schools solve the problem? Not until black culture gives up the myth that whites owe them something and are somehow deserving of violence directed towards them. Bussing in white students would just be bussing in more crime victims.
I recall a post in FR not long ago about a young white woman who, by necessity, had moved her newborn and toddler into a modest home in a black neighborhod. She was harassed and taunted and when her house was burglarized. When she called the police she was terrorized by the “cousins” of the perps and her house was burned down - she and her children forced to escape thru a back window. Another about a family who was taking a tourist stroll thru a historic southern town and were beat severely by roving black gangs. Another couple in New Orleans who were stalked and attacked, again by a black gang. A Black culture which spoonfeeds their children anger and resentment towards other races from birth cannot accept diversity. Until that black culture problem is fixed, and it is a black culture problem not a white culture problem, there will never be a satisfactory solution to desegregation, nor should we expect such.

That’s absolutely correct! What in the devil does this woman know about this subject other than what she’s fed? I would suggest she visit neighborhood schools throughout the country where the Caucasian enrollment is 6% of the student body. Facts don’t impress liberals.
People are doing exactly what you said - selling their homes and finding new homes in other neighborhoods with more decent statistics on enrollment. The statistics get a little better by making such a move but much better the further out a family moves which then creates other problems of further to commute to work.
